OK so tonight i tried to do a burn out for the first time. i have an 04 gs500 and when i tried all i got was a little wheel hop and it jumped forward and stalled out. what if anything am i doing wrong if anything.   :dunno:

you were probably sitting down.  Grab the front brake while stopped then plant your feet firmly while standing and make sure you have grip with your feet and front tire. And rev it to 7 or so and let out the clutch, not fast just play around with it but once it gets spinning make sure you let the clutch out all the way or youll burn it iin an instant.

so your saying that im not supposed to just pop the  clutch

Careful...don't want it to spit out from under you. Some of you are so cruel to the Baby GS, which I love so much along with this forum.

no, you aren't supposed to just pop the clutch...  it's not like a manual trans car.

do it like 94suzuki described, but MAKE SURE TO MAINTAIN FIRM PRESSURE ON THE FRONT BRAKE!!!!!  trust me I know...

you ARE being mean to it.  this isn't a watercooled 600 with a clutch designed for 140hp.

also try pulling up to a wall or curb then u dont have to worry about the front brake so much.
