I'd like to know how he got that bike in there!!!  Obviously not a one-person job.

I thing the "front wheel in the Trunk" concept is a good one.  Would still want a wheel chock mounted in there to fix the wheel position.

Hey, I'm glad to see the number of you that went with the open, flat-bed concept of trailer.  I built mine off of an old tent trailer frame and about $300 of hardware.  Been thinking the enclosed 5'x8' trailer is more appealing if you're inclined to haul your bike overnight and stay at a motel.  (Less temptation from theft if you don't see the bike.)  But for the $1500 difference I can't justify it.

Trailering is great  :thumb: , especially if you're traveling with a family that doesn't ride but is willing to humor you...

My 2000 focus with a Uhaul trailer.. total trailer weight is 800lbs, with bike it was 1300 (450lb+ Yamaha FZR or my 400+ GS500)

I bet pablo's car has more HP than my focus. I got 110hp and 125ft/lb of torque.

'01 GS500. Mods: Katana Shock, Progessive Springs, BobB's V&H  Advancer Clone, JeffD's LED tail lights & LED licence plate bolt running lights, flanders superbike bars, magnet under the bike. Recent mods: Rejet with 20/62.5/145, 3 shims on needle, K&N Lunch box.
