What everyone else does doesnt make it the only way to do something. Sure in this case you would be better off not doing that but you should always feel free to bring new ideas to light with out the fear of being Sh#$ on for forward thinking.

I dunno Faxxy, it was only $5? I'd have done it..haha. Of course I also own a 49cc Scooter so listen to nothing I say.  :P

I think he is onto something with the thinking outside the box thing. There aren't enough aftermarket parts out there for us so we DO need to get a little more creative and stop limiting ourselves..

BUT..that can was NOT IT
Richard died in a motorcycle accident that was at no fault of his own.  We lost a good friend and good member of this board.  Though Rich may be gone, his legacy will live on here.

You can't touch a carbon fiber wileyco can for under $100...

You can get this Civic one for $60..

(With removable baffle!!!)

I'm now concerned with carb Jetting considerations..
The Wileyco is tried and true.

I may try it.. The worst that can happen is I have to put it back on e-bay and I may lose 10 or 15 dollars on the resale..

Other then losing a week of riding while things ship back and forth.. :(

I cant get the link to work to that one under tail but it looks like it had the same outlet diameter as the muffler your looking to get.  If you would remove the tail light and place the muffler on the tail light cut out spot it would look really coo.  but then you would need to put another tail light on and that might be a problem.  But if I can figure out how to post the pic I will.  I think the only reason people were freaking out and not liking the idea, including me, was the outlet is so huge.  but then again I have never seen one that big on a bike except that one undertail.  Im all for an undertail, but mounted in the stock position would be cool also.  Also I dont think the jettting would be much different if any from the wileyco.  That pipe is straight through isnt it?

I would think the jetting for a wileyco would work fine for the civic can as the wileyco is straight through also.

different is awesome, soon i'm going to try to make what will basically be a full exhaust from the exhaust off of a cbr1000rr. that will be awesome.

I think you should loose the H pipe and do a 2-into-2 exhaust...

      That would friggen RULE!

[edit]There's two Os in that word.[/edit]

      I thought about it..
The ultimate goal here is *cheap*..
A complete revamp of the exhaust is not cheap..
