Well, trying to develop a streetfighter project on a newly acquired gs500(to me at least  :) ) and I had read a post by cheesy a few days back.  I love the look of the gs500f headlight with or without the fairings and was wondering how hard would it be or what would be even needed to mount a gs500f headlight to a gs500e?

Did not read that other post you mentioned but there is a bracket that is welded to the frame where the steering pivot is that is the attachment for the framework which attaches to the headlight housing.  The framework also extends up to the mirrors between the inner and outer fairing.  If the "E" model does not have this little bracket welded on something would likely have to be fabbed and welded on.  Clear as mud right??  I will post some pics tonight to try to give you and idea of how they are attached of the "F" models.

Edit to add you would need to get the framework mentioned above from a parts house probibally...not sure how much they cost.

Hey thanks n e pics would be grt, I currently am in the process to get the headlight and the upper stay bracket and hopefully that is what I need.  Any other info would be greatly appreciated pics, and otherwise.

Sorry for the delay.  The bracket is welded to the steering stem where the fairing frame fastened with the acorn nuts.  It is welded directly on the centerline of the bike...not off to the side, I had the bars turned for the pics.
