My name is Tony and I live near Wichita KS.  I've had my 96 GS 500 for 4 years now.  I was on here once before as anteresred96, but never posted much.  Just saying HI to all.

jomei

Jomei, 25, Santa Monica. Ridden bikes for years, I come from a whole family of bikers. Just getting back into it after a 9 month dry spell with a super clean GS I feel like I stole from a guy for $700.

Hi. I'm Dan, 32, from Norfolk MA. My first bike was a 1979 Honda CX500C which, btw, is a great bike. But this summer I bought a 1999 GS500 that turns out to be Anne's old GS. I came here before I bought it to do research and it dawned on me that the bike I was looking at in the pictures off the main page was in fact the same bike I was about to buy. So, of course, I bought it!
My other interests include bicycling (Rivendell Atlantis touring bike), woodworking and my greyhound Duke.

Here is the GS:

I'm rychrger72, new to the scene, just joined today, bought my first bike about a month ago.  A 2005 GS500FK5.  Love it, just trying to find stuff to do to it.

fallout

fallout, from the bustling city of Holts Summit, Missouri. ...O.K. population 3,000.  17 of which are sex offenders.  28 years of age (I think, maybe 27, its hard to keep track after 25 and the insurance rates drop being the last major year old mile stone until retirement).

I purchased my first bike at the beginning of July 2005 (Blue 2004 GS500F) and have not looked back since.  Completely love it.

The name fallout for any PC/RPG/Game buff is from the classic Black Isle games of the same name.  A true geek can honestly say one of the saddest days of his life is finding out that one of his favorite game developers has closed its doors.

Would love to get in touch with any GStwin members around the mid'missouri region and meet up/ride.

Hi, I just registered on GStwin.com, and thought I would introduce myself.

I'm a seventeen year old military school cadet from South Orange, NJ. I'm interested in riding motorcycles and want a GS500e as my first one. Right now I am working at a bicycle shop to earn money to buy one, despite the fact that my parents don't want me to because they are inherently dangerous. Wish me luck in getting into motorcycling!

... I'm 36 and i live in Asheville, NC. I'm a restaurant manager after years of bartending and living the party lifestyle. Lived in Vail, CO most recently to get the snowboard bug outta my system. Had my first kid (see my av) a little over a year ago. Decided to find someplace to settle where I could kayak year round and enjoy great weather. So here I am! Lookin' for people to ride with and help me learn how to work on my 'new' '94 GS. Thanks!  :)

I'm Betty, live in Southern Califonia.  I got into riding because my husband rides...and I got tire of being on the back of his GXSR going through the canyons.  We also scuba dive.  Love to find new buddies for both.  Both of our pictures are on www.bettyandjohn.com.

Started out riding suzuki 125 dirt bike when i was about 12y/o. When i graduated from high school my parents bought me an '89 gs500e which i still ride today. I've modded it out a bit by putting new forks up front with progressive springs, 750 shock in the rear, jetted carbs and an opened up exhaust. Previous owner painted the bike edwardian gray. will post picts soon.

Hi, I'm the happy owner of a red '89 Gs 500E (quite rare here in Italy). This is my first post but I followed this forum from a while and here I found a lot of really useful informations, particularly about how to improve my bike. Thanks. I'm a long time biker, I bought my first bike (Beta 50 Cross) in 1974, the last before my GS was a Kawasaki gpz 900 R. I did some mods to my GS, some aesthetics, some to improve handling and safety (I live in Liguria and our roads are full of bends and hairpins), theese the results (by now):
-Wirth progressive fork springs
-Koni shock absorber (found on ebay and bought from Proven Suspension in Australia, sounds bizarre but was not expensive and fast delivered)
-Fabbri  flyscreen
-Fenderctomy
-Stainless brake line whit ergal fitting.

Ciao

My name is Brian, 18 years old (19 in September), and I'm a student at the University of Texas at Austin studying Mechanical Engineering. I had a red '92 GS500E for three weeks, then I crashed it. I've got a 2004 GS500F now, and I'm already looking into modifications :). Y'all have been a lot of help so far, and I thank everyone for the information I've seen.

Hello everyone.  I'm in Austin, TX and just bought a 1996 GS500E.

I've been on 4 wheels for too long after riding a 84 Honda 450 Nighthawk in high school. I'm looking forward to playing and meeting some other GS riders.

I would love to meet someone local who would like to trade wrench time to help in maintenance/mods on each other's bikes.

How's it going everybody?  My names Jason, I'm from Suffolk Virginia and I just got a 1998 GS500.  My Fiance has a 03 SV650S and I have been wanting a bike since I met her.  I've ridden a lot of dirt bikes but this whole street thing is new to me, lol.  The GS is just something to ride till I can afford/learn how to ride on the street and upgrade to a SV1000, Super Hawk or other sporty V-twin.
