Ok I just heard a story from somebody who said that people who steal bikes get a clear title frame and switch everthing from the stolen bike  over and can register tag it exc.  Is this true? because i thought that bikes were looked into more than that. No wonder so many bikes get stolen if this is the case.  Damn I need to take more security measures! Also how do you know when you buy a bike on ebay or something that this wasn't a frame only with everthing else stolen on it making it a clear title bike.  Is there any way to track this?

I know of a moron that wrecked his GSXR 1000 and with payments due on it, bought a clear titled frame and swapped evrything over ... the bank is attempting to collect on it ...
