Sorry to hear about your baby... I still can't believe they were going to drive away!  But can you really expect a person driving an Expedition to see your little GS?  I almost got sideswiped yesterday morning (08:00) on the way home from work by an Explorer.  I wasn't even driving my GS.  I was driving my 1989 Chevy Caprice which is 15 feet longer, 5 feet wider, louder and has lots more shiny chrome than a GS so how the lady didn't see me I'll never know.

For the record, I have never hit anything (intentional or otherwise) or lost control of my old school American Land Yacht and it is unbelievable how many times people "didn't see me" and struck my vehicle while it wasn't moving.

I've seen this happen first hand......couple months back I was sitting at a stop light, accross the street in a fast food parking lot, I saw a Suburban back up over a cruiser (volusia I think).....

I turned right on red, and swung a quick left into the parking lot.....stopped right in front of the quickly departing party.....lady rolls down her window, and starts screaming that I need to get out of the way, that she's in an emergency....so I calmly dismount, walk up and ask what the emergency was.....right about then a guy comes haulin' out of the restaurant, so anyways, I walk back to my bike, and dial 911....

.....I get talked down by the dispatcher(?) that I should use this line for an emergencies only, yadda-yadda-yadda.....but somebody will be along soon.....about this time, the lady gets out of her truck and starts in with the "Oh that couldn't have been me.....I didn't feel a thing.....are you sure it was me??......oh, there is some paint on my bumper, maybe you weren't parked adequately"....etc....

.....about 10 mins later a cop shows up......yells at me that I NEED to move my bike.....so I comply, and then offer up my side of the story.....give all my info.....I got some calls a few days later from the ins companies wanting to know exactly what I saw....

got a call a few weeks later from the guy.....her ins. came through....anyways....good luck with your situation....thought I'd spread a happy ending to a similar situation....
PETE: It's four in the funking morning!

SHAUN: It's Saturday!

PETE: No, it's not. It's funking Sunday. And I've got to go to funking work in four funking hours 'cos every other funker in my funking department is funking ill! Now can you see why I'm SO FUNKING ANGRY?

ED: Funk, yeah!
