do you need a new gasket for the cam cover or can you reuse it?

it might have ripped, it might be old, they may not warrenty against leaks if you dont (which is in thier rights)

Get a new one.

Don't use Liquid Gasket as a substitute -- you'll never get the cover off the next time.  ;)

i bought the bike use with 2400 miles. i gues the valve clearence has been done twice. the gasket looks fine to me. usually when you take off gaskets you replace them. i was just wondering if this was different since the cover is taken off alot.

It can be re-used many times.  No gasket sealer needed - just coat it wil a bit of grease to hold it in the groove while you get everything lined up.
