Most women's motorcycle gloves might as well be debadged ski gloves.  No armor, no safety wrapping at vulnerable points.  I've been wearing men's S or XS gloves.  They're still suboptimal in fit, though.

Yesterday, I stopped by Ducati Seattle, because I remember them having nice gloves there when I stopped by to get my suit.  And they did; gloves by a German company called Racer.  The sales guy said that they're in the same place Held was in some time ago; popular in Europe, not well-known here.  But unlike Held, their top-of-the-line (called "High End" ) glove for women has all of the features of the men's glove - it just has a fit that works for women.

This is a Nice, Nice glove!!  This page doesn't tell you sheoot about the features, but it's kangaroo leather; there is attention to detail in the stitching, skid plates on the palm, wrapping to protect the litte finger, wrist armor.  Even a little friction pad on the tips of the first two fingers to keep your finges on the levers.  Well worth the price, IMO.

As soon as I can dig up the money, I'm getting them.

Oh, and I'm a Medium in those gloves.  Whoever you are, they'll fit you.

Exquisite.  They're kangaroo on the palm and fingers, so thinner than cowhide and soft.

wow 155 seems a bit steep though....is it really that hard to find a decent women's glove?  for us guys a minute of searching closeouts at newenough is all it take

Cheaper than a comparable men's Held, actually.

The challenge to women to find the proper protective equipment for sport motorcycling is similar to other sports like hockey.  You're lucky to find anything that you'll like that's made for the female form.  Rather unfair, but probably driven by the ratio of men to women in the sport.

But maybe "the times they are a changing..." to quote Bob.  Glad to see there are more businesses are targeting the fairer sex.

hey RG, thanks.  I think im gonna order them tomorrow.  So your a medium?  That should fit me too since I wear the same as you in men's gloves the SP1's by alpinestars are just a tad too big and they run small...urggg
