Now that kawaski has a 650r. I think the sales of sv are going down. Kaw has a very nice bike. It looks hot the full fairing and the exhaust sets it off. So what do you think of the two?

The Kawi 650R is a sweet looking bike but i have 2 issues with it:

1) Rumor has it....no center stand (if that's important to ya..)

2) Not much space or options to set up luggage.  If that's important to ya.

The msrp of $6299 is gonna be a good sell.  Other than that it's a sweet sexy bike i have to say.  And Ninja's seem to last forever if you take care of 'em.

Isn't the 650r dimensionally quite different than the SV650? Like wheelbase, seat height, weight, etc? Or is the 650R coming out to act as an "equivalent" to the SV?

The Kawasaki 650 isn't going to sate anyone's desire for a V-Twin.

interesting that it is a horizontal twin though.  I like the sv better myself.

Edit: I knew it was a freakin parallel twin but i am a tard, guess 10 straight days of work will do that to you.....my brain hurts.

I dont think I like naked bikes as much, but for some reason I think I would go with the SV, unless it had to be 06 I would go with the Kawi because of the color choices.

I dunno, my buddy has the SV and for some reason I'm just not into it for my next bike, although I know it's a good one.
I'm really looking into the new Ninja and all, and yea about someones post before, they say it's longer and seat is lower, and they've really focused on the riders position... it'll be interesting to test it out though
