about 30 posts back afplayboy18 was showing off his new gs500f in 2006 dark blue..  very nice  _ I was trying to show of my naked bike in 2006 blue...  I was struggling to get a picture to work but now I have, its a crappy image but here it is

I think I still prefer the faired bike though - i was scared of breaking the expensive bits.

The bike looks fantastic, I can't recall ever seeing a black framed GS, I like it a LOT!  :thumb:

I can see some re-spraying on the horizon for me.. thanks for the inspiration.

I like it! That's really nice, but I still don't know why Suzuki went with a white tail and blue front, it should be all blue, like the '05 blue. All the same, that looks really sharp, man. Where are you located at?

My '04 it had the blue/white combo... it looked good I had the tail colormatched to the front when I added the undertail.

Naked looks good, it's a shame they're not imported to the US right now..

Best looking stock standard GS, EvaRr!1

I kinda like the white tail, it's like the white rims of all the older models.

I love the white tail, blue tank, black frame and black rims.

I agree: that is the best looking GS I've ever seen.

It's true though, that looks really really nice. I kinda miss the white wheels, too.

Does that '06 have an oil cooler (looks like a small radiator) mounted to the frame rails below the gas tank? Can't see enough detail in that photo to know for sure...

FWIW, the '96 GS sold in the US came with a dark frame; I think the color was caled anthracite / gray, but don't quote me on that. To be honest, I much prefer the blacked-out frame and wheels on your GS. I just wish Suzuki would make the tail section the same blue color as the tank, paint the fork lowers black, and get rid of the stripes; IOW, a monochrome paint scheme with that beautiful dark blue, and nothing else...

Your GS certainly is one of the nicest I've ever seen, so treat it well, and ride safely.

Nice picture and a nice look. Reminds me of the Bandit line of late.

Did you remove the body work OR does the GS come naked in the Oz market OR did it change from naked to bodied in 06?

Nope, the oil coolers only come on the F models, because the fairing restricts some of the air flow to the engine. Additional cooling was needed for them so the oil cooler was added. Overseas the E model retains the old engine.
