Well dern. I went and ordered my LEDs and got the WLED-B6 bulb.

Ah well, I don't ride with my high beams on very much (there is at least 1 other car on the road with me at all times no matter where I am) so it won't bother me that much.

Well, I have to order an amber for the turn signal now, so when I get around to it, I'll be getting the single LED for that position.

Hey instead of having the overkill of too many LED's for the turnsignal by using an assembly that is non-polarized, I think I'm gonna try to just connect both wires coming from the turnsignals going thru a diode each and then going to a common ground like in the diagram... I got the diodes, now all I need is to order up some single LED's....

Well, you won't be the only one with that bulb configuration -- welcome to my club.  :thumb:  It's rare for me as well to run with the high beam at night.  But you gotta love the look, everything works and the look is absolutely marvelous.   O0

Does anyone know of a webiste or a good LED company based in Canada? this superbrightleds has a $25 minimum charge to ship out of the US. and with a $30 shipping charge on top of that, it's kinda getting expensive to get a few LED's when the ones that I want only come up to $12 total! If only there was a way.... :dunno_white:

let me know if anyone knows of one! :thumb:

So here is my testimonial. I bought two BLUE radial LEDs for the speedo/tach

I bought RED, GREEN, BLUE, and AMBER LEDs for the dash

Installation was a breeze. They are direct replacements for your older bulb and they fit perfectly. Pics to follow this evening. They are very bright during the day. The only issue I have is that when my TSR is active (i.e. turn signal is on) my oil and neutral LEDs dim a bit each time the TSR switches. I guess it has something to do with how sensitive they are to current and the current changes when the TSR is active.  :dunno_white:

Hopefully you aren't using your oil light when you're turning. :)

Hey there, Everyone is buying up colored LED's for dash lights... I came across a good deal for some 4 LED 168 bulb replacements with wide angle lighting... but they're all White. The guy calls em Xenon White. Would these work any different than the colored light LED's? Cause the filters remain on the dashboard right? so the light that I see will still be colored...

any thoughts?  :dunno_white: :dunno_white: :dunno_white:

They should be fine...  I mean...  Aren't the old bulbs white?  :icon_mrgreen:

joedude

yeah I know, but I was just wondering about the filtered light... when some ppl talk about Brake lights being changed to LED's, they say that they loose effectiveness if the LED output light isn't the same color as the filter....

I dunno, I may be banging my head on the wall for nothing on this one...  :cookoo: :dunno_white:

Other people need to see brake lights from a distance.  Not so for the instrument cluster that's ~2 feet from your eyes.

Well I am 1/2 way to a full LED dashboard...seems the F model changed the indicator lights.

Anyone know what LED I can use for the small bulb in the middle?

So now I have 2 6LED GREEN, 1 6LED RED, and 1 5LED BLUE bulbs that I probably won't use. One of the GREEN and the BLUE have been sanded down a bit on the base (my lame attempt to force them in). Anyone want them for cheap? All are from superbrightleds.com.

To add to the  my turn signal indicator light doesn't work, it did before I tightned it all up, but must have come lose in the process. I'll fix that when I find replacement LEDs, that or when I've riden all day with a blinker on!  :o

Time for a

Damn, that sucks.  Do any of the lights have the number printed on them (e.g. 192 or 168)?  If so, it will be relatively easy to find a replacement.  You might even be able to exchange with superbrightleds to save a few bucks if they're not all open.

Nope not kidding. The Tach and Speedo worked like a charm. (Pics will be posted when I have the indicator lights done)

All us F'ers are F'ed with the WLEDs.

I'll check for any markings on the bulbs this weekend. The microfiche has it as a 12V T6.5 bulb, I think. The speedo/tach one is a T10. http://www.ronayers.com/fiche/300_0366/speedometer_-_tachometer_gs500fk4/speedometer_-_tachometer_gs500fk4.cfm?man=su&groupid=3210&parent=3200

I checked on SuperBrightLEDs.com and I didn't see anything that would work for F model indicator bulbs.

No joke. My dad might take the green ones for his FZ1, but I dunno. I've got no other use for them though... unless... perhaps my car could use a red/blue speedometer lighting?
