This was the last list I saw. I think either Celica or Agent has it now? Feel free to copy, paste, and update as the kit makes its way around!  :thumb:

Status update for the East Coast list:  I have it and will hopefully be finished by the end of this week.  TarzanBoy and I checked our valves on Saturday, and managed to get his taken care of, but both of my exhaust valves are tight.  Unfortunately, none of the shims in the kit are small enough, so I had to order some new ones.  As soon as they arrive and I get my gs back to spec, I'll mail the kit out.  The waiting list is below.  Jace009gs, if you'll PM me your address, I'll get the box ready to go.

Also, the kit does not include a set of feeler gauges (I'm not sure if it used to, or not) so be prepared to furnish your own.  They can be found at most auto parts stores .. I just picked up a set the other day for $5.  Otherwise, it rocks.  Thanks to Kerry and anyone else involved in getting this kit built and making the rounds .. it's a HUGE help!

+1.  And be sure you removed all 6 bolts (sometimes it's the simple things).  Mine was on tight too, thanks to the accumulation of crud from a leaking gasket (that'll be fixed this weekend).  We had to convince it with a mallet and some gentle prying w/a screwdriver.

mine was on tight too, the gasket basically shredded when I finally got it off.  The replacement was about $20.

Wait, Mandres, so you're done? As in I'm next to get the kit? Or was this time you're referencing in your post a long time ago?

Crossing fingers...now.

No, I'll still need the kit.  My engine is in about 5 different pieces right now and I'll need the dial caliper and maybe one or two of the shims to get it back together.

Cool, no worries. Do you have an estimate on when you'll be done and can ship it out? Just trying to plan, you know.

Thanks,
Dave

Yeah, kinda hard to know when you'll be done if you haven't even received it. Sorry, I started getting all excited about doing the valves soon and couldn't catch my breath, so I wasn't thinking straight.

Ok, carry on...

I'll need to do the work at my parent's place in Beverly Hills, so I could even pick it up from allmtrslut if you were comfortable with that, rather than paying for shipping it across LA, then do the work, then get it out probably the same or next day since my GS is my daily driver.

The West Coast kit has feeler gauges, correct?  I had it a while ago, and it had a set when I got it from davipu, just wondering if it is still "complete."

Hell yes he's ready! Well, I am anyways. I know, just ship it to me and I'll send it to him... ;)

I'm kinda kidding. But I'm happy to see this is moving along fairly well. Good wrenching, West Coasters!

Hey Mk1, I allmtrslut and I were planning on doin our valves at the same time since we live pretty close to each other. If you want, I'd be willing to meet somewhere and have all 3 of us do em at the same time. That way we can split the shipping cost =P Just lemme know if that sounds like a plan or not.
Aaaaah, Los Angeles. Where if the traffic don't kill ya, the air will =P

allmtrslut

iam def up for that since we all dont live that far, and its my first time doing it period...so i wouldnt mind having help! iam down for it if you guys are??

Mk1inCali

Yeah for sure, I'll drive up, that'd be cool.  Weekdays work best for me, which I know is weird, but true.

I've PM'ed both of you my cell # so we can get this figured out!

Thanks!
