Color me unconvinced. I think I'm still going progressive... if I keep the bike long enough to get around to it.

jakkyl, where'd you buy them?

alrighty, got them in and it handles much better

I did a few high speed stops and it was not nearly as scary as before.
and i didn't squish the family jewels as is customary with a quick stop.

Worth every penny.  Didn't take long to install either

i also turned down the stock handlebars, it feels a little better than before

$63.29 total
took about 30-45 minutes to install
I had a lot of interruptions though, so...   I was closer to 45

Cost: I believe around 60 bucks (give or take)

Time: If you can get the cap on the first try; about 15-20 minutes (or, if you have problems with the cap...anywhere up to an hour )

Edit: Bah, you got it right before me

Jewel factor makes it worth every penny. Much more predictable feel on the stops.
No time to wash the bike

fordtech

Hey can you take some pics of the stock bars turned down.

Can you tell me where you purchased from?  Also, do I need to purchase replacement "fork oil"?  I didn't even know the fork needed some.

Don't hate on the progressives, good starting point for upgrading the suspension. If you have the scratch for straight rate it is nice, but most upgrade bikes before they need that!  :thumb:
