Jackass - An individual, who on their last fill up at the gas station forgets to swap from "RES" back to "FUEL" position.  This results in a sputter sputter "OH shaZam!" scenario.

That qualifies. But so does a variety of other things.

- When you forget to put the kickstand down and get off the bike and the bike tips over (yup, I've done that)

- When you accidently miss the shift from 1st to 2nd and instead rev in neutral. This is usually when hot girls, co-workers, or your friends are around (yup, I've done that..)

- Trying to check the oil with the engine running (yup, I've done that...)

- Trying to lube the chain "conveyor belt style" with the bike on the center stand and giving it some throttle.....NOPE, haven't done that  :thumb:
Richard died in a motorcycle accident that was at no fault of his own.  We lost a good friend and good member of this board.  Though Rich may be gone, his legacy will live on here.

    - Forget to set Petcock back - Done it  :thumb:
    - Forget kickstand and nearly drop the bike - Not yet... But, I almost did  O0
    - Miss 2nd and rev in neutral. - Too many times.
    - Check oil with the engine running - I thought about it...  Almost did it...  Haven't yet.  :icon_mrgreen:
    - Lube the chain "conveyor belt style" - Never done it :nono:

I've done all these:
    - Forgot to screw the dipstick back in and rode off with it loose.
    - Tried to ride off with the kickstand down, shifted into first and killed the bike (in front of people).
    - Rode around with my turn signal on for 20 minutes.
    - Miss the footpeg when mounting the bike, hit the shifter (shifting into 1st) causing the bike to lurch, and fight to keep it up (in front of people).
    - Tried to hit the brights switch and hit the engine shut off.
    - Tried to hit the horn and hit the starter switch.

I haven't done this one, but I know a few people here have:
    - Tried to ride off with a disc lock in place

Close. I was doing float height check and pulled the hose off withouth closing the fuel drain. Needless to say it was in front of someone.  :thumb:

Hell yea! Did that today!  :nono:

Other stunts include but not limited to...
-Moving my bike by walking beside it with clutch pulled in. Went to make a right turn. Bike ended up leaning away from me forcing me to lose it and gently drop it. It nearly scratched neighbors corvette on the way down. Other neighbor outside watched it happen. Of course I told him I didn't need help and acted like I totally meant to do it.

Ahh yes, the LLT (lazy left toe).  Last week I was partaking in some "spirited riding" with a friend.  Hard throttle input + missing second and hitting neutral = (around) 12,000 RPM

I hope to never hear that sound again.  Buuuuuuuut I probably will cause I always hit neutral.

I dunno about that one, but I've definitely gone to turn off my turn signal and hit the horn more than a few times.

You can add me to the list of people who have shifted to neutral instead of 2nd and given it a good rev . I have also hit the horn a few times when turning off the indicators . I haven't managed to pass any of the other 'Jackass" tests yet  ;).

I have forgotten disk lock couple of times. And one time i rode off... well at least couple of meters, then the front wheel locking up and me laying down the bike (in front of ppl). Very embarasing, and now i always have this feeling that the bike will drop again when starting off, even if i have taken the disk lock off.

My tip for disk lock users: mount it as close to the back, as possible, That way if you start going straight with lock on, you dont accumulate enough speed to get scary results. Going backwards when front locks up is not as bad.

Tragic: But you know you have about a mile left in her, right? Put the petcock in PRIme, lean her over hard to the left, and that may allow you to limp inot the next gas station.

I forgot to put the kickstand down at a bike dealer.  I was looking at a brand new 650R in front of a dealer.  I get off and almost dropped the damn thing on a row of ZX10R's.  That. . . was so scary.

LMAO

I've had nothing that extreme, besides dropping the bike at an intersection as a noob.

My little jackass move is the F**king Horn.  I always seem to press it at the wrong moment.
it makes me look like an impatient A**hole.

Being a noob myself, my biggest problem is starting when there are people are around.  I have no problem taking when no one is around, I can do it all day long all nice and smooth and what not, but as soon as there are people watching me, I screw up.  I'll stall it, which isn't too bad, or be really jerky and look like a total idiot.  I know this is just a learning process and I'm getting better, but it sure is embarrassing.

Yup, blew the horn at a few people trying to cancel my turn signal.  I think I've permanently embarrassed myself out of ever doing that again.

And oh yeah, I forget to put the kickstand down and almost drop it about once a day.  Like wow I'm dumb.  I haven't dropped it doing that yet, I've either caught it on its way down or a few times had someone will kindly remind me to put my kickstand down.  Sometimes I think if I were a chick I would be blonde

It really depends on the people and the bar...  I got some pretty dirty looks when I parked my GS right next to some $30K+ chopper...     I'm REALLY glad it didn't fall or anything...  That would have been a long walk home with two broken legs.

I got some dirty looks from the chaps-wearing crowd too...  My helmet is CLEARLY not a cruiser guy's lid. :flipoff:
