Hi Everyone-
I just found this site today and I am totally THRILLED!!!
I am a Project Director working with at-risk youth in Niagara Falls ON. My first bike is my beloved blue 2000 GS which I just bought in June. In my spare time when I am not riding, thinking about riding or finding new unexplored roads, I love photography and the guitar.
I cant wait to join in on the posts and get to know you all better!

At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.

I'm Cristina, better known as Cris, 27 yrs old, relatively recently divorced, (depending on who you ask), with a 7 yr old son. I live and work in Santa Clara County. Been riding my Italian red '89 GS since I bought it and got my moto-license in December of last year. Love it - love it - love it! My son doesn't want to hop on the back yet (at least while the bike's movin') but he'll come around in time.
Picture on page 3 of the Member Mugs section. Pic of the bike to follow on the Wall of Fame sometime in the near future.
Take care all!

I'll have to take your word for it, but Fight Club isn't on my must-see-movies list.

Hey, I'm Sharon and I live in northeast Ohio. I'm 34 yrs old and have an 11 year old son who loves to ride with his mom. I've had  my '89 GS for two years. I sold my Sportster as soon as I got the GS!  I still hang out at the biker bar with all the Harley's. I don't get too much grief about my "grinder". They all know I love to ride. I'm so in love with my bike it's disgusting! I've learned more on that bike in two seasons than I could have ever learned on my sportster. Thanks for all the great info on the website!!!

Hey Everyone!  I'm Matt.  Currently reside in Raleigh, NC where I work for a bank to pay the bills and run a saltwater charter business on weekends for fun (www.jollymoncharters.com).  The GS is my first bike and I'm having a blast learning (four months).  My neighbors ride ZX9, TL1000, GSXR 750 etc and are nice enough to let me ride with them and help show me the ropes.  Still not comfortable running on the beltline at 70mph in 4-5 lanes of heavy traffic  :o ...guess that will come w/time :) .

Indecision may or may not be my problem...

My name is Greg and I live in Western KY.  I have been married for a little over a year to my wife Gretchen. I am 31 and she is 28. My mug shot is on page 3 under Jango Fett.  I have a 1993 GS500 with 6500 miles last time I looked. I love the bike. I have owned many sports cars, jeeps, you name it, but I love this bike and have had more fun on it than I have ever had. Here is my website link. I have many pictures posted there of everything I am involved in. Check it out. I will be posting pictures to it often.

PM me if you wanna ride sometime, as my friends are always busy

Oh yeah, my name isn't really Pizzle...it's...well, check out my bike pic above.

Hey all,

I'm a little late coming to this party, but I thought I'd chime in anyway. Mark from NE PA, 39 yo  :o  (My GS is not quite that old, it's a '94.) I love that bike and even though I have another motorcycle that I ride more often   , I'll try to keep the GS for as long as can.

Hey,

I am new to this board too. Got an ole 92 GS500. After all these years still going strong. Used to own a Yamaha FZR1000 but alas too big/and heavy for my size.  I love riding the GS more coz it's so nimble and takes off in a jiffy.  This is a great site and the ppl here are awesome and flirty    Good to be here.
It is not good enough to say that we are trying our best. We must succeed in doing what is necessary.

Ok, I guess I'll finally get around to posting in this thread, now that I finally have an image worth putting in here.

I live in Seattle, ride a GS500, rock climb, and work in the software industry (Performance Tester/QA Developer).  My GS is a black 2002.  So far I've only changed to the Kat 600 shock and the Progressive fork springs.  I thought about performing a fenderectomy, but decided I'd rather not apply a saw to a bike that I fully plan to sell in another year or so.  I commute via bike nearly every day, rain or shine, but my true love is a good 100 mile or so ride through some good mid speed twisties.  I'm available as a riding partner or for group rides in the Seattle area, as long as I have some notice, so send me a PM if you're looking for someone to ride with.

Here's the pic of me on my gs500:

Hello. I am Mike from South Haven, Michigan(southwest corner of the mitten!), 25 years old with a 97 gs 5double-ought. Been riding for two years. Got my bike after I helped a first time owner pick hers up and found that I liked the looks and feel of the bike after I had to ride it home for her because she didn't want to. That, and buying a motorcycle pissed of my ex-wife-to-be at the time. Anyhoo, working on my second marriage now seeing as I found that Rashad's lifestyle was not for me!! I dont have the energy that that man has, apparently!!! Good talking to all of you and thanks for all the laughs and the shaZam!-ton of info you all have provided! :thumb:
I regret that I have but one ass to ride a bike with.
