Does anyone have a Vac. diagram for carb/tank on their website? Specifically my 90 does not match up to the manual I have. I have the fuel run right but am unsure about the other lines. I know where the crankcase goes but I am unsure about the upper vacuum nipple between the carbs and the line that vents to below the gas cap. Also my bike didn't have a "carb overflow" line on it when I got it. Did all bikes have this and where exactly on the bottom the carb does the dual line hook to?

Thanks!!!!

Help?

Can anyone explain the proper hose routing??? I cannot get the bike running right and the manual does not help a bit.

Ok so I have figure out that the upper rubber T is not supposed to be connected to anything. The kicker? - why would plugging this line cause my bike to run better? Does this lead to the air space above the needle diaphrams?

Thanks!

See if the pictures on my web site help you with the routing. Next time take notes where the hoses go before disconecting them. Or choose the lazy way and take digital pictures, like I do.

I removed my charcoal filter (CA models only).  I have an 89' and the upper TEE I just ran a hose down behind air cleaner and left unplugged.  The same with the little hose on the the bottom TEE.

The fuel line and the Vaccumn for the fuel valve is all I've delt with.  I read somewhere here, that plugging made it run better or something.  Bit I think they also just left them open.  This is what has been reccomended.

I got this information from Bob Brousard in a threat named - Can I eliminate charcoal filter?

Can someone teach me how to link to another thread.  Please  :thumb:

Except that some of the lines weren't on the bike when I got it??????????

Thanks for the link and good website. It looks like everything is hooked up alright except I can figure out why blocking the upper tee improves how the bike runs at idle.

Don't block off anything.  If you are removing the cannister, it runs best if the hoses are left unconnected.

The bike didn't have a cannister on it when I got it. Nor did it have anything hooked to the upper tee or the line from the gas cap the bottom of the tank and no "carb overflow" lines.

Thanks
