Oh man, that sounds like $50,000 in damage ... atleast we'll all swear up and down that it needs serious fabrication and GMD computrack type work for fixing it the way it was from the factory.

I called the police station a bit late today... Around 4pm.  They had just left, so I need to call tomorrow to find out if the jerk was found and arrested yet.  Then on Tuesday, I have to submit the pictures of the damage to my insurance company.

I'm glad you are unhurt after this craziness.
I look forward to hearing that the cops have found and charged the idiot responsible.
At the same time, you are VERY lucky that:
1) Your bike's damage is relatively minor -- I wouldn't think that the paint chip on the rim is something that happened here (it probably happened when the tires were mounted). Because of that, I really hope you don't expect insurance to cover a paint chip on the rim by replacing it. Touch it up and be glad that the rim and YOU weren't more seriously damaged.
2) The idiot who hit you didn't turn his car around and go after you.  You had the smarts to get his license number, at that point let the police handle it. Which is what you did, but next time, fight the urge to be Superman (modified for poster's gender). It can be dangerous. I wouldn't want anything else bad to happen to you.

Let us know how this goes.
All of the damage to your bike is relatively easy and cheap to fix. No body work, nor damage to you.  A good thing.
