Because of the repair quote I just received from the damage, I might be getting a new bike.

I'm thinking CBR600rr or the R6.

Ebay has a nice Brutale in Malibu for only $12k. (wrong engine is made up by the right letters in the make)

Tuono's are all over the place for $7k~ish.

RC51's are all over the board.

TL1000R's and TL1000S's are running as low as $3k for MINT modifiied bikes! (tlplanet/tlzone)

Check out the Honda VFR800.

Seating is VERY! comfortable, it has a V-4 (ZOMFG) with V-tec! Great wind protection and ABS. Single side swingarm too.

It also doesn't scream "GIVE ME A TICKET!" anywhere near as loud as a 600cc SS.

i just bought a boulevard c50. I know your probably not looking at cruisers, but i f%$king love it. And insurance is sooo much cheaper then a cbr600 or an r1 would be. and SOOOOO comfortable

V-Max is great...I'd absolutely LOVE to have one...but I wouldn't help being able to trick it a little.

First thing that would have to change is the steering head bearings...they are SOOOOO sloppy that tripple digits are suicidal.

Next exhaust (duh).

Then the generic stuff...GSXR rear wheel, probably GSXR forks so I can get 6-pots and 320mm discs, intake, sissy bar, quick release racks, cams, drag bars, and so on.  Kalee would love me for it...and it would be faster than my TL...but nowhere near the character.

v-maxes (or however you would pluralize it) are just so utterly bonkers that it just makes them so cool.
and that they havent really changed since their introduction in the early 1500s.
