Damn I love the Hell outta my GS but the aftermarket sucks for it!   I'm so jealous when I see all the shaZam! my buddies have for their CBR's GIX's.  
So what can I do from here?

I got:
-Barend mirrors
-Dragbar
-Gix 750 rear shock
-Fendercodomy (all the way)
-Rear flush blinkers
-Relocated plate
-Aftermarker Suzuki Stickers
-Custom yellow paint

I'm gonna put those prog. springs + spacers.  I'm gonna jet it and I'd love to have a high mount exhaust.

Have you seen the GSXR grips, eurotails, shotgun exhaust...   Damn why do the big boys gotta have it all?

We need some fabricators up in here.  I'm sure the board would come up with the demand

There is a local place out in western mass where i live that makes wicked sharp custom stickers.  I'll let you know if they are on the net when i talk to them next.  I'm going to use them for all new stickers when i paint my bike this winter

For paint, just get the color lazer matched a local shop

how about:

-new rearsets
-loose passenger pegs or mount better looking ones
-solo seat
-GSXR rear wheel
-Bandit 400 rear hugger
-SV650 head light
-full fairing
-clip ons
-GSXR front end

do the gixxer front end-new USD one though. Then streetfighter out the lighting or fix a racing upper for the half faired look.

do a custom rear bodywork job-either fit a r1/r6 tail or get on the ball (that I dropped from being too busy) and get a solo seat cover fabricated, that can slip on the existing seat. or do both.

fit an r6 full fairing

strip bike and have frame powdercoated a color then strip the tank to natural metal.

have a custom highmoung exhaust made

install gsxr rear pegs/brackets like I did

have carbon fiber bodywork made, including hugger using bandit400 as model

marchesini (or equivalent aftermarket) rear wheel for 88-89 gsxr 750 (why stop at the stock wheel?)


you are limited by only 2 things: your ability to fabricate and your ability to pay others to fabricate.

yeah, i hear that, come incometax return time, Im getting a wire feed welder so i can make some things for the GS using stock parts or custom fab right on the frame/enginecases.

6 packrack small carrying rack to sit above tail light
Case savers (must get tubing bender too)
Moded swing arm, alittle beefing up, and still stock mounts
dual out exhaust or condensed Buell type but one you can still get to drain plug on oilpan.  and who knows what else.

Hack off the subframe - fabricate a new one
Use FZ6 naked front light, signals and so on...

... just teasing, you can not get that one in US

I'm sure that if I hired a pro fabricator I can have a badass bike.   I'm talking about getting all this stuff mass produced and unexpensive.  That's not the case for the GS500

Well if you're talking mass producing parts to make all our gs' possibly better how about starting with machining some spacers necessary for gsxr fork install-you could sell a kit that coupled with customers own gsxr fork would be a direct bolt in (with your parts of course)...we're not only cheap, we're lazy.

Have a fiberglass or plastic mold made for hugger.

have solo seat cover made...make several on order, prepaid (thats what I was planning on doing).



basically make brackets/spacers to mount parts off other bikes so we dont have to custom fab one-off's for that. you could esp sell the fork spacer kit (spacer as in the bearing race peice that has to be made so that the fork can be bolted on).

You just need a prototype. it will sell itself.

I've got this undertray on my SV.  It's pretty brilliant actually.  It uses the stock lights (moved to a different location) and eliminates all the "fluff" on the rear end.  Makes the rear look a little taller and more GP.

It takes lots of time and desire to make parts like this for the gs500. Look at what jamesG has done with full fairing project. its a labor of love-no one's going to make money here with these types of parts. I reckon there'd be maybe a dozen people interested in some type of part like that. That's what I figured [optomistically] when thinking about the solo seat cover...and that was really optomistic considering its for the newer body style.

If you think its possible, do it.

Ok, Florida did away with Vehicle inspection, unless applying for rebuilt title. no EPA testing either,  Also dont require Insurence for bikes, unless you buy brand new, then its the finance Co that wants insurence on it.  plz, give me some info on these inspections you all talk about, why wouldnt that undertray be leagle John?

what about double-sided exaust or a undertail exaust. i know it might be little to a lot of work, but im sure someone has enough guts to try it on their beloved gs.

Leveler has a sweet dual exhaust. It has been done several times. All customs I believe. Spaz has a high mount exhaust but I have never seen an undertail on a GS.

It is the whole stock enchilada.  That's the beautiful thing, it's the stock light peaking out from behind the two "portholes".  There was a lot of dremel work involved and I had to totally remove the stock undertail, relocate the tail light (further forward and downward).  About 5 hours labor involved to set it up...but the darn thing is just a simple, sweet little design.  ]

Yeah, John yer right.  I think most states want 12" between the blinkers, this has 8".  Undertail exhaust is definately out, and you've got to watch the high-mount exhaust.

Thats a trick undertray for an SV...but its for an SV, not a GS500.

What I want to know is:

2)how did he get this undertray on his GS500 (from the WoF)?




btw-personally think this would look better with a red lens, turned upside down.
