Almost done cleaning, just have one piston and the crankcase left to clean.  Tomorrow will be assembly!

Then I have to ride it like I'm breaking it in for a few hundered miles, because I have to seat the new rings.

Come on, WildBlue, we gotta team up and get Scratch over to our neck of the woods.  Between the two of us we can beat Pandy!

I'm thinking Indo-Mexican food should beat Purple Cuisine any time.    :icon_twisted:

Actually I've been entertaining the idea of making enchiladas with thick curry sauce.  Sounds scary but it might be good!   :cookoo:

pandy

Curry sauce....on enchiladas......er...... might I suggest some good, ol' fashioned meat and potatoes, scratch? Along with some of that Cherry Coke I still have from your last visit?  :icon_lol:

5k rpm in 5th gear, going uphill should be slow and easy enough for you guys to keep up. (~50mph)

Going downhill will be a different story, because then I can snick it into 6th.  :icon_twisted:

So how about next weekend?  You guys up for that ride?  Saturday and Sunday both look like they're going to be sunny so far.

Does that mean we're invited to dinner as well??  :icon_mrgreen:

Dammit Pandy, we had Scratch's attention but you had to use the Cherry Coke technique.

Interesting...  Any details on this ride they're organizing...?

I didn't even know that forum existed...

pandy

I haven't seen a route posted yet. I can't believe you hadn't heard of SBR!  :icon_mrgreen:

I'd only heard of/checked out BARF, but it pisses me off most of the time - there are a bunch of drama queens behaving like angry teenagers on there.  :icon_rolleyes:

pandy

Yeah, I rarely go to BARF anymore.

I think the average age (and definitely the maturity level) is higher on SBR (and it's a more-diverse board than BARF). SBR has its share of drama/fights, but it tends to be on a more-adult level (usually ). They do talk a LOT about politics and off-topic stuff, but it doesn't *generally* turn into a hate-fest, and folks are good about agreeing to disagree, as well as at kissing and making up . It's definitely a social board, and rides of all levels are usually going on weekly...just watch out for the budbandit rides...  :o

Turtle usually organizes some good n00b rides on SBR (they've gotten huge since I went on a couple, though).

Route just posted:

This will be an awesome time. Music ,food, stunt show, and great prizes. The one thing missing is the ride details.
The route will be
Meeting at Santa Clara Cycle Accesories at 9 am
Leaving at 9:30am or so
Heading up 9
Right on 35
Gathering up at Alice(just to make sure everyone is still smiling)
Taking 84 toward Pescadero
Pescadero toward the coast
Then Highway 1 North
Meeting up with 84 and heading up toward Alice.
Meet up at Alice
so we all can head over to Santa Clara Cycle Accessories for some good food music and the stunt show

**This is a fun slow comfortable pace
