Well, I stopped by SCC after lunch on Saturday.  My friend got a new rear tire for his Intruder, and I... got a call today from Doug telling me that I won a free Icon helmet on their anniversary raffle!  :icon_mrgreen:

Going to pick it up on Saturday, I'll post pics when I get it.

WooHoo!!!!  :thumb:

We went first thing in the morning and picked up a couple of goodies. I filled out raffle tickets for both myself and my better half, and HE won (t-shirts and hat). Hmph....I do the work, and he gets the goods...how unfair is that!?  :flipoff:

You could just act all cute and then keep the t-shirts for yourself.  My ex gf used to do that, I must've lost half my wardrobe that way...  :icon_rolleyes:

pandy

Yeah, that'll be the evil plan if they're cute shirts!  :icon_mrgreen:

Yeah, but my wife would just take whatever t-shirt she wanted out of my drawers...not even ask.

Bike is up and running, I did have to use my old, scratched up exhaust as the better looking one was too long and wouldn't mate up at both the head and the hanger.

Break-in is painfully slow with only a 5-mile commute.  Doc Wong ride (free) this weekend.  It's on B.A.R.F.  I'm trying to go (wife is being objectional).  And, yes, it's going to rain! (Yay, better riding! (seriously!))

Doing some shopping should help cut down the break-in time.

May be ordering '88 GSXR750 fork springs ($48 from Santa Clara Cycle Accessories; .745kg/mm (.594kg/mm is stock)) soon.

But...isn't the long way home (up over 9, etc) more like about 100 miles? ;)

I can do it in 90 miles, if I take racer's lines, which I do...sometimes...always...  :icon_mrgreen:

I actually like it too, the graphics are nice.  The padding in my HJC is a little better I think, especially on the top, but hey I'm not complaining!  Doug said the list price is $250  :o

pandy

I'm still Jonesin' for a Scorpion Crackhead helmet, but my helmet is perfectly good, and I just bought it not too long ago....but when I drop that puppy, Crackhead, here I come!

$250.00!!  :o I value my head, but I can value it for less $. (The price of your Icon helmet was outstanding, though, Wild!  :thumb:)

Nice!  The graphics on that crackhead are pretty badass.  Do they make it in purple though...?   :icon_razz:

My bike's red...perhaps I should paint it purple and get a custom Crackhead (but only if it costs what yours did)....  :icon_lol: :P
