perelli speed demons,15t sprocket, full jardine racing exhaust, rejet. COMING SOON-SM bars, maybe a katana rear wheel

Sounds like most of the other aftermarket full systems for the GS.  In fact, pretty much identical to any/all of the CB models from Honda as well (the twins, anyway).

I just spent 15 minutes searching the site for a sound clip of the jardine but I couldnt find one anywhere.  Don't worry we will hold your hand.

I've got one a jardine exhaust and will endevour to post a sound clip (I have a before sound clip, I will get an after sound clip for comparison).

The jardine gives the bike a nice sound, but be warned it is louder than stock making night time drives through neighbourhoods a little intrusive.

The system is well made, light weight and easy to fit.

Only issue I have had with the exhaust is a clearance problem with a bolt on my rear brake calliper.  Details mentioned here ... http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=32380.0

Other than that I highly recommend it.  :thumb:

WoW that looks real nice  :thumb: its a full system right, I think they sell a brand new one for $370 something in their website

It sounds nice and lumpy and you get rid of the sewing machine sound and ducati riders look at you and go WTF as you burble up to them also don't worry about the mounting issue Galahs mentioned I've told him how to fix it :thumb:

Ok here are the lovely mandrel bent header piece made from stainless steel. They are a larger diameter than the stock pipes but silly me lost the bit of paper where I recorded the actual measurements.

Here is a look inside the header piece. you can see the neat welds of the collector (where the two pipes merge) It uses pipe over cone design to ensure minimum turbulence hence enhance flow.

Note: I enhanced the picture brightening up the inside of the pipe.

Here I took a photo down the centre of the can (muffler)

You can see it is a straight through system with no protrusions into the exhaust flow.  Infact the biggest obstruction to exhaust flow into the system would be the bent exhaust exit!

These next two photos show that accessing the oil filter and drain plug is not a problem.

And here's a side view. The exhaust looks nicely in proportion, and nice and bright!

Another good thing to mention is every join in the system is a step down join. IE, no pipe ends sticking into the exhaust flow.

The header pipe end fits inside the mid pipe section.
The mid pipe section fits into the can.

Hope this helps to convince more people to throw away the junk stock system and upgrade!  :thumb:

Jardine makes some nice stuff, I have the CF bolt on for my 954, If we were keeping the GS after this summer this is the way I would go but the wife is progressing well and looking to move up.

The interior of that can looks just like my big one so yeppers the neighbors are gonna hate you at night.
Why didn't you just go the whole way and buy me a f@#king Kawasaki you bastards.

Dang that looks  :thumb: nice! could that fit 2006 Gs500f, that has the full fairing? have you heard the sound of a IXIL exhaust? is it a better sound? is it better than IXIL?

Ok now I heard a rumor that after you start your bike if you suck on the exhaust(the open part) for like 5 minutes that you get 5 more hp.

But check the wiki just in case.

The Jardine does indeed fit the 2006 as mine is a 2005 GS500F with the same fairing (just it had to be removed so I could install it more easily. It also clears to oil cooler bolts.

So infact this system should fit all Gs500's including the 500F models from 2004 right through to 2007 :thumb:

(and was unable to get the sound clip today, as when I went to try my video cameras battery went flat :(

good news its charging now....

bad news.. its now night time here

good news... there is always tomorrow  :thumb:

  i found this

That's my bike  :icon_mrgreen:

I love the sound, and had no issues with clearance anywhere.
Jardine says the pipe is for 2004+ models, but is compatible with all models.

I love the sound, but yeah, you really need to bog her down when riding through residential neighbourhoods.

- Funny story -

During Hallowe'en, I was handing out candy to all the little kids in their over priced costumes, and one of them (about 7 yrs old) asked, "Are you the guy with the crotch rocket?"

I replied, "Crotch rocket!? Is that what you're Mom and Dad call it?"

She says, "Yeah. And they say your bike is starting to sound better too."

"The Jardine does indeed fit the 2006 as mine is a 2005 GS500F " i have an 06, and it works perfectly, it sounds nice enough that people on the highway know ur their, and if u redline it, it sounds prety  loud (atleast loud enough for my friends to hear it from a good distance). defenetly one of the best upgrades for this bike
