For me it's more of the same.  I put on another Bridgestone BATTLAX BT-45H on my rear.  Fairly good road adheasion, and reasonable durability.

Tire choice is a common topic here.  While you're waiting for replies, you might want to check out the links held in the Everything (almost) you need to know about MC tires thread.

As I still consider myself to be a novice rider, I put Bridgestone Battleax BT45's on my '94 (H-rated on front, R-rated on Rear). R-rated not really necessary....

Sportec M1, you won't regret it when you hit a corner too hot or need extra traction to avoid plowing into an @$$hole in a Plymouth Voyager who doesn't like lanesplitters.

I sacrafice mileage for traction since I only ride for fun......M1 and Pilot Powers.....I like 'em sticky. Tires are cheap compaired to damage repairs.
Common sense in not very common.

+1, but I've got a 140 on the rear.

Did you get a bigger wheel or squeeze the 140 on?

rob1bike

+1 on the sport demons
And yes a 140 fits fine on the stock wheel, no need for any thing larger. Only put'n out 40hp
If it comes out of your body you shouldn't be afraid to hold it in your hand! :o

As Rob said. The tyre went on the stock rim fine I didn't even realise it was a 140 untill the tyres had been on there for about a month or so.

I used Sport Demons until I got my new wheel, then Pilot Powers.

I loved the Pilot Powers.

Both the Sport Demon and the new Avon Roadrider in the 140/70 size are made for a 3 3/4" wheel now so they fit equally well on a 3 1/2 as they do on a 4.00 wheel.   Very good for GS500 and EX500 riders.  The 4.00 rim used to be the preferred size for the 140/70.

I forgot to mention that I run 4 & 4.5 wheels with the 150's and 140's on stock 3.5 wheels
