What tail is it? Is that the X1 I keep reading about, or something else?

how your going to match the seat, to the gs tank  i dont no ,

with the r6 one , im going to cut teh front off my 96 seat , and cut the r6 seat  front off , then where i can make a line  , then epoxy it , and bolt it , and recover it , then it will be firmly again the seat , *and ball protection , yet   fit the fairing nice,

looking it to it as we speak .

Don't really know how I am going to do the seat at this point.... I am working on getting an x1 seat from this guy on the badweatherbikers forum (its a buell site).... I will most likely hafta wing it like you are doing....hopefully I can shave the seat into something similar to the gs seat.  Will see I keep you posted.

Actually after looking at the x1 picture for a second I am most likely going to round the front of the x1 seat so it looks more like the original gs seat.... I def want it to be closer to the gs seat for the ball protection as you said

So I have been slacking hardcore on this project it says spring but its almost summer lol.... o well.  Well this isn't to exciting, but here are my wheels primed and ready for paint.... o and check out those space age tires.  You can't even buy them yet 

Ok so when I started this project I hadn't planned on doing that much....well that went out the window quick.... So this week is my last week of classes and I have most of the components to get the ball really rolling.  So next week (cross fingers) will be my only week off before starting my "real job."  So heres an update with pictures of what I am doing

Yo *Dawg* , Fresh Bling Bling . Looking good buddy ,. i just got a 1990 GSX to take apart and use the parts of , , its got new tires . a 140 , and a 110 , saved me a bunch of money , using the shock , insted of a sv650 , as i dont have cut it . and using the front end , so i got 2 dics on the front , playa!!

Oooo And Ive Ordered A Undertray , so my r1 tail light is gonna look fresh ,.

So I have been holding off until I got everything that I ordered.... There are still some outstanding things I would like to buy and do (digital speedo, SS brake lines, Rear sets), but  they have the back burner for now.  I hope to have shots of the frame, the new tail and the tail light set up mounted later this weekend.   

Ok so I finally got the mounts for the tail section welded.... Well actually I had a friend weld it for my because I am not very good at it..... Keep in mind that I still have to blend all the welds... It looks a little rough.

I plan to make some sort of Lexan cover for the open areas so the gs frame and the buell tail section blend together alot better

I had to cut and pull back some of the x1's seat to make it contour to my tank.... I haven't had a chance to re-staple it thats why it my look a little loose.
