Larry Flint comes to mind or Mary Carey ...  the current statical data is what intrigues me the most, 5 primary launguages spoken in California, English, Spanish, Mandarin, Tagalog, and Vietnamese, the state doubled its population in less than 40 years, has an average age of 34 and is expected to grow by another 6 million in the next 10-15 years, primarily in Southern California ... Californians wanted change and we went big.

speaking of free health, i had an offer of a job in toronto, would have cleared immigration, but i couldnt have gotten into the health-care system. why i am an insulin dependent diabetic. in the good ole us of a , i cant harldy get health ins. (except for medicaid) w/o paying almost $200 a mo. for it. except for my current job. ins offered but i couldnt use. crappy and low limits. as far as my medicaid goes, i dont have this job. cause otherwise id have to take it. :x i lose the job... i have no ins. would not be good. anyhoo, enough of my ranting and raving. as far as ahhhnold goes, who knows, he may have no exp, but all politicians start on that line, he may surprise us. you know the ironic thing, he was receiving support from his inlaws maria shriver's mother was born a KENNEDY.  (democrat)

Just because a Republican congressman funded the drive does not mean registered voters had to vote Davis out of office. Heck, most Californians probably didn't even know their laws allowed them to recall the governor. Otherwise, it might have happened sooner.

I agree with john. When you lie and put your state in as much disarray as Davis did, its time to HIT THE ROAD JACK!

Now, is Arnold the best candidate for the job? That remains to be seen. Did his name/popularity have to do anything with it? Probably, but it seems like California is in pretty bad shape. Stop bashing him and give the guy a chance. You might be suprised what transpires. The way I see it most elections are voted upon the lesser of two evils. If he ends up doing a terrible job, then the Democrats can put up the money and try and recall Arnold.

IMO I think he is genuine, successful, and the fact that he has all this OUTSIDE HELP from key players/analysts does not hurt either. The only thing I can't get is you would think as long as he has lived in the USA his english would be alot better. Go figure?!?
