alright well, been on the site for a few months, 20, bought a 2006 gs500f about 3-4 months ago, work for delta airlnes, and going to school majoring in architecture. bike pretty much stock, new rear turn signals, and front sprocket being put on tomorrow. and taking off the front signals. and im cutting down and customizing a can from a gsxr1000 to put on my bike with the help of a few guys from a group i ride with.  I also am a member of Detroitsportbikes, a great group of guys here in michigan.

Hey speeddemon, welcome to the site.  I know of DSB, but since I'm on the other side of the state I usually hang out at WMriders.com.  There's a few GS Michiganders on this site, we seem to be pretty scattered around the state, so there may be someone near you, if you need GS specific help.  We try to get together to meet up and ride once in a while.  Keep an eye out for that stuff in the Meet and Greet section.  Don't forget to post pics when you get your new shorty exhaust on :thumb:

DLW

Hello Everyone!!

I'm a 38 year old new rider and GS owner.  Waiting to take the training course.  I purchased a '92 GS500E over the weekend.  It's a little rough around the edges but runs pretty solid.  I know pretty much nothing about motorcycles but am willing to learn and will take advice from anyone.  I've been reading this forum and the wiki for about the last month.  That's a start, right??

I live in Indianapolis, Indiana and I'm a computer programmer by profession.  I'm married to an amazing woman, Julie.  We have 3 young children at home.

Feel free to ask questions or to hand over any advice...all will be taken .

Thanks for reading,
