I will admit to riding to work on Jeans day and knocking around town in jeans, I draw the line at slacks.

I will wear slacks to work with a pair of Carbolex overpants.  Better than nothing, but I don't think they protect as well as purpose-built riding pants.  I have considered keeping slacks at the office and changing there, but I don't usually allow that much time.  My commute is only about seven minutes, and mostly rural.

I also ride differently if I know I'm underprotected.  I won't corner anywhere near my limit in jeans or slacks.

Still, it's the accidents we DON'T see coming that get us...

Yeah, if you're only out riding for fun, or sport riding in general, get some real pants. Around town stuff is jean friendly, but not fun twisty riding.

Groan really did you have to say it :dunno_white:

I have a couple of really sweet off ramps between the local friday night hang out and home. In a moment of stupidy not paying attention to the fact that  I was riding in jeans I decided to run one at a "brisk pace" beautiful 25mph banked ramp that is always clean as a whistle. I was less than the blink of an eye away from touching down with my right knee when I had the presence of mind to tuck it in.

I got tired of Spliting out my Jeans at Work.Due to Having to Maintain a Pool with a Salt System my Clothes don't take Long to Wear out.The Pool usually runs 5-10 PPM Chlorine which is way too high. The first thing to Go on my Jeans is the Knees and usually the Ass isn't too far behind.

Instead of Ordering or Buying a $35 dollar Pair of Levis the last time I ordered a $45 pair of these.

I went down going 10 mph w/ jeans on and rolled some. They did provide some protection but they easily wore through to my flesh. If your a recreational rider then get some decent protection. If your a commuter then you either have to change or just live with it. If you go down chances are jeans/ slacks whichever won't do squat.

I commute to class and work and sometime have to business casual. I just risk it, if its bad enough it won't make much of a difference. I don't ever wear shorts but honestly, if I went down in jeans I might as well be wearing shorts.
