...my World Series tickets are friggin worthless.  Getting tickets at all was like hitting the lottery, then the Sox getting to a 7th game against the odds was incredible, then having a 3 run lead in the 8th seemed almost too good to be true...

...then I watched the worst managerial decision making ever and a tired Pedro was left in the game for the 8th inning despite having arguably the best setup and closer still playing ready and warmed up just because he didn't want to hurt Pedro's feelngs.  I'm surprised the country couldn't hear the screams when Pedro came out in the 8th then after he gave up the solo home run (making the score 5-3).  A million Sox fans knew better than the manager and we had to sit and watch the Series dream crumble in front of us.

If I seem bitter and angry its because I am.  The way this game went down was a travesty and adding the fact that I was so excited to be able to go to a World Series game only to watch it get dashed just broke my back.  And thats all I have to say about that.

I'm with ya on this one.  People around here don't seem to be in a good mood today.  The way it went down, it broke all our hearts.  If the yanks were ahead from the start, it would haven't been as tragic.
BTW, how did you get tix?  I tried so many times to log online, but the server kept crashing b/c five-million people were trying, too.

blind luck.  Both me and my buddy got in and bought tix.  Like I said, it was like hitting the lottery what with all those tix agents/scalpers, fans ect trying to get in.

In the Boston Herald (the first edition) had an article saying Grady little deserved a new long term contract and went on to give all kinds of reasons as to why.  The author (Michael Gee I think) according to a radio interview called his editor and begged him to pull the article from future editions
