Hi all. I just finished washing and waxing my bike and now my neutral light does not shut off. I recently changed to LED's, but I don't think that makes any difference. It's brighter in Neutral, but continues to stay on from 1st all the way to 6th. Any suggestions (besides not washing my bike again)?  :dunno_white:

put the kickstand down and it should turn off  , i had the same problem check out my thread here
It should go away once its dry

Aren't you just my personal GS savior???

Thanks again! That's exactly what's happening with it. Maybe I got some water on some wire somewhere I shouldn't have. Either way, my bike looks dead sexy now!  :thumb: (Even with scratched up fairings)

Thanks CndnMax!

it had me wondering for a while too. my guess is maybe some water on the neutral switch or kickstand interlock is making it act weird, this would not show on a regular bulb because the bulb would of needed more power to light up.

Sooo, how long did it take for your light to turn back to normal? It's been about 8 hours now and it's still happening. It's really distracting at night. Should I just wait it out?

im not sure how long it took for it to stop, according to the time stamps in my thread it looks like it took about 3 hours to come back to normal. maybe pull the socket and check if theirs any water in there  :dunno_white:

i have the same with my bike. all you have to do is be carefull when washing it.
no bike compairs, no bike comes close, no bike is better. cant put the gs500 down

I would be tempted to remove the switch and ensure its not sticking. Leaving it somewhere warm for a few hours to dry out and a shot of WD40 into it wouldnt do any harm either.
