bought a Fulmer Joust full face helmet, great deal for around 100.00. Much quieter and more comfortable than my HJC or Nolan modular helmets. One caveat is that it seems to run a little larger than the others, as I usually wear a med/large, and I ended up buying a small in the Fulmer; a little tight at first, but it is breaking in very nicely. Highly recommended... looks great with the Tron reflective tape treatment as well.

ive got a fulmer shaman, for the price its been terrific.  i also had an older fulmer, an it was so-so, nothing compared to the one i have now tho

My friend picked up a joust to. A few days after him I picked up the modular. I love it and its so convenient when I'm at the light trying to talk to my friends. Only thing I dont like about mine is the noise but hey thats the problems with them anyways. The helmets are awesome for their price. I picked mine up at AIP out in Van Nuys.

hate to burst your bubble's. but i have seen and heard of a few fulmers splitting open on hard impacts. one of them was on a friend of mine. bleeding out the ears and a massive concussion is no fun, he is still not the same. i work parts at a dealership and personally i would never wear a fulmer.

things that are cheap are cheap for a reason! you get what you pay for, and sorry, but my head is worth more than $99.

i agree with chris, going cheap on your safety gear is just plain dangerous.

I wrecked in a fulmer helmet and i was okay. I really doubt any of the helmets are different in impact besides standards of snell and DOT. I think snell covers more side impact tests. I would say most of the difference in price of DOT helmets are looks/comfort/style/features/venting etc and not safety. Correct me if im wrong though. I wear a Icon mainframe helmet pretty cheap (brand new) Go ask your dealer if they can get you a deal for them, i know they were on closeout because of being a discontinued style and its snell approved

It makes very little difference whether you spend $99 or $299. In MOST helmets. Same as buying cheap Hi-Tek trainers for £15 or nikes for £150. Still a trainer and the difference is minute. Helmets are basic in design, a shell and padding. If your hitting your head hard enough neither helmet is going to help you, and most light bumps do very little to your head. Ive fallen off wearing a cheap "unbranded" helmet and had no damage to my head and ive fallen off wearing a £300 AGV helmet and still same result. You should go on the saftey rating if you have one in your country. Price doesn't always equal best. Another quick example, say a AGV plain black helmet cost you £150, the one with the cool dragon pattern cost you £200, it has no more saftey protection than the original. All im saying is price doesn't equal saftey.

Also if your in England British Motorcycle Standard award stickers we had on helmets for approving a helmet as "safe" have no value. The majority of helmets and helmet models were never tested - they just put a sticker on. This was discovered recently in an investigation.

cheap may be cheap, but if a helmet passes dot an snell, then its up to par.  lets hear you guys argue that  ive read multiple safety reviews, an came to the conlusion, your buying the brand name when u pay 300+ for a helmet.

Fulmer is a Good Helmet.Yeap if you Spend $200-$600 or whatever for a Helmet your Paying for a Name.I usually buy a Beiffe or AGV but went for an Icon Alliance because it was on Clearance and I liked it. :thumb:
