Hello all, here's my distraction from day to day life.  Don't get much time to work on it but this is what I have so far.  Rear wheel will be off a katana w/ 160 series tire.  Exhaust will be Termignoni off the right side of a Ducati 900ss.  SV headlight, gsxr rear pegs, cbr rearsets, motor from an 04 GS.  Tail is 03 R6 and subframe is custom made from square steel tubing.  I will post more pics as things progress slowly.

Wow there's some work in that  :o, but it should look good finished.

Just one thing, get rid of the yamaha sticker thats on there, the last thing you want is people think that you ride a yamaha, cause you know what they say about yamaha riders  ;)

Awesome 1st post!
Nice fabrication. Great to see someone else not afraid to use a saw and a welder.

Thanks to all for the compliments.  I just started welding about 6 months ago and I have to say that it's one of the most satisfying things I've ever done.  There's something about fusing two pieces of metal that just makes you feel good.  My welds aren't all that pretty but you've gotta start somewhere.

Hey dgyver, I've been lurking on this board off and on for the past several years and your work is inspirational.

I'll post updates as I make progress.

Here's my latest progress...  Got my passenger pegs mounted up and my exhaust is in the mock up phase.  Changed my mind and got some yosh rearsets off ebay.  Waiting on those before I do any other frame work.  Also waiting on some 2.25" bends so I can weld up my exhaust completely.

Are they the ones from Narsurin, The Blue devil yoshi rearsets? If so they are a bit of fun to install which is what I'm doing at the moment if they are same ones you will either need to make a mounting bracket or grind out the mount holes and use the original mount bolts also make up a rear mastercylinder bracket and rod for the brake lever to the mastercylinder and a mount for the rear brake light switch also get a gear selector for the gear rod any suzi one will fit, I got mine off a GSX250.
Be warned though there is no way in the world that the ones he sells a genuine yoshi rearsets I looked on Yoshi's website and they have nothing like them if you check his feedback I'm the one who questioned if they were genuine, He didn't like that LOL.
They do look ok but are a bit of work to fit  but should look ok once done although they do look a bit flimsy also hope you have small feet. :thumb:

I was looking at buying a set of those, but they looked like too much screwing around to get them on & working. So I went for a pair of gixxer pegs on my existing hangers.

They are the narsurin ones...  No biggie on having to fab some stuff up cause that's what I planned on having to do.  I guess I never really considered them being imitation yoshi but that doesn't really concern me so much either.  They're clean and aluminum and any other rearset would have cost a fortune.  I was thinking about cutting up the stock gear selector and fabbing somthing out of that but if I can get one from any suzy then that would probably be easier.  Thanks for the heads up.  Post up some pics when you get done with yours.  By the way, how long did yours take to get there?

Theses are the ones I got

These looked a little more stout and I'm pretty sure they're genuine MOTO R but the color wasn't right for me.  My frame will be black.

Thats the ones, by memory they took a little over a week to arrive I think they came from Thialand they do look good though but can scratch up pretty easy so be careful when fitting. I hope to have mine finished by the end of the weekend but will still have to finish the clip ons and digi dash as well as reroute my cables and wires amoung otherthings oh yeah also fork brace.
I'll have to get a sticker made up saying bike built by Ebay  I think there is only 1 or 2 things on it that didn't come from ebay. :thumb:

Have your rearsets turned up yet? If so what are your thoughts, I have fitted mine and found the following 1) rearbrake switch is a bugger to fit correctly and the gearselector is so, so at the moment.
I am getting another sprocket/ chain cover and will cut a section out of it so the selector can sit straight up at the moment the buldge in the gaurd gets in the way and and wont shift smooth so more work and lotsa fun except we have perfect riding weather at the moment and the bike is stuck in the shed
Let me know how you go :thumb:

Whats the rubber you've got on that back tire.  The tread doesn't look familiar.  Also, what wheel are you running it looks like a really low pro tire.

Yours are looking nice  :thumb:  Mine have yet to show up.  I'm expecting them by the end of the week.  I've been working on making a hugger out of the stock undertail.   I'll post up some pics of that when I get finished.

The tire is a 150/60 sportec m1 on a katana wheel.  It looks low pro because it's flat and down to the threads in the middle...  Junkyard wheel.  My new tires will be the conti road attacks
