Well, I rejetted 40/140 and i'm at sea level, 3 turns out 0 washers.  In the morning now, I try to start my bike and it won't start with the choke on.  I have to start it choke off, give it a little bit of throttle, then barely touch the choke to keep it idling.  Once its warmed up its fine, but in the morning its really hard to get started and going.  Should I up my pilots, change the screw settings, change the needle or where to go from here.  Thanks in advance!

This has to be one of the biggest topics on this forum, I have choke issues too. First I thought it was the carbs boots, because since they are made out of rubber the engine has to be warm to seal them. Wait let me try that again....the hoses expand thus sealing the carbs. So, I checked spraying them with WD40 to see if the engine reved higher. Now if your boots arent on exactly right maybe that is why you have to give it more throttle...So once it is warmed up you forget about the rough start because everything is fine.I think it would be the easiest thing to check. Mine I have to figure out further...I have a class on saturday so I am going to ride down to LA and hopefully pull the carbs next weekend for the class. Hopefully Scratch will answer this post since his last post said he was trying to get his warm up time down under 30 seconds. Good luck OK

thanks, I'll try the wd method and see if its the boots.  I don't know if it will mess with anything being that its a k and n filter vs. the regular air box.  Also, as far as jetting goes, I don't know if I'm lean or rich yet.
