What is the brand name of this camera...how much was it...and do the suction cups really work?

Its a Archos AV500 With the camera as a separate accessory.
Paid 400 for the AV 500 and 220 for the camera used on ebay because they stopped making it and it was very hard to find.

Its cheaper now, they have a new unit called the Archos 605 and the camera for it is 100 bucks on ebay.

Its not just a camera, its a Digital Video Recorder. It does all kinds of stuff!
People are always impressed when they see it. They are like "What is that? Awesome!"

I love showing it to Ipod lovers.

And the suction cups work great but I cant find them on ebay anymore.

Sorry if I missed it, but did the guy offer to fix your ride, or at least apologize ? Man, that was a stupid stupid collision he caused. Hopefully he'll stop riding before he kills someone.

Good to see you're in good shape. Be careful ! :)

Quote from: makenzie71I can't think of a single situation under which the "rearendee" is at fault.

I wish! I thought the same too until I made a u-turn years ago (in a car), was accelerating away, now in 2nd gear....*bump*. Some lady rear ended me lightly, I suppose I was already up to at least 25MPH at the time. I was sited for failure to yield, and the judge agreed. So there ya go.  :icon_razz:

(Sorry, I realize I am both contributing to this super old thread and dragging it off topic. But hey, it's friday)

About your sig.....I'm not sure if I'd advertise that.

edit:  When I saw your sig it said 9.67 cm or something like that.  However, it seems to be increasing every time I check back to this page.  You must be getting excited.   :nono:

Actually, if you're brother in law hit the back of the lady's car, he is 100% at fault in the eyes of the law...and, really, in the eyes of common sense.  If someone is stopped as if to enter your lane of travel you are to act as though they will pull out there at any minute.  This is why, in such a situation, you either floor it to make sure you t-bone their car, or slow down enough to make sure you have a lot of room and time to stop.

In every state in the US; You hit, your fault.  You weren't allowing safe distance between your car and traffic.

not to be an ass but this logic isn't entirely true in every case. seriously. i rear-ended someone a few years ago. i'm traveling down a county highway. it's 2 lanes each direction with a turn lane between. a car pulling crossed 2 lanes of on-coming traffic, the turn lane and accross both lanes of my way facing traffic, and tried to turn into the gas station. well, he got into the gas station allright. a little help from myself though. and i tried to avoid him. i was doing 65 when i locked em up and still hit him doing close to 50-55. and we were the only 2 cars for at least 3 miles. he was ticketed and found at fault for failing to yield to right of way.
finally a homeowner!

3imo is right. in almost all cases the rear car in a rear end collision is at fault, but not always. there are circumstances where the front car is at fault. My friend was one example I know personally.

funny to see the Berts tag, and makes sense-probably his first bike and he WAY OVERPAID if he bought at Berts.
