Hi Everyone,

Can someone tell me what the tire tread indicators look like on the Pirelli Sport Demons? I've looked and looked but I swear I can't find them :( I have noticed the bright red dot on the sidewall, so I assume the indicators should be on this line, but I can't spot them. Am I blind?!

There are triangles or arrows on the side walls notating the location of the wear indicators. They vary by manufacturer. You can also also look for the bump in the tread groove, which is the actual wear indicator.

The red dot is the heavy spot of the tire, which is used for balancing.
Common sense in not very common.

I'll look for the arrows/triangles tonight.

I did, however, look in centre groove along the entire circumference of the tire; I was not able to see the "bumps". Oh well, I'll look again.

Thanks.

Some have a little TWI at the top of the sidewall to indicate where the markers are.

Hmmm... I checked my front tire quite thoroughly: I looked along the entire circumference of both sidewalls and did not see any triangle, arrow, etc. marking that would indicate the presence of the tread indicators. I also looked along the entire centre groove and could not see an indicator anywhere.

I bought the tires from Motorcycle Accessory Warehouse (MAW) late 2007. They were made in Brazil. Is it possible they don't have an indicator "bump"?  :icon_confused: I thought they were mandatory for tires sold in the USA? Maybe MAW has separate tires for sale to the Canadian market (I don't know if they are mandatory here)?
