I'm a new owner of 2002 GS500E and wanted to see who else on this forum is in the Boston area.  I'm lookin to get a group ride together once the snow/ice/slush/crap clears.  Riders of any experience level are welcome.

Details on this ride?  NYC is too far from Boston for me, know of anything closer?  Something about riding through NYC congestion and taxi's doesn't appeal to me.

traffic is not a problem on a bike 

I live in Lynn just north of boston but alas I'm in the middile of fixing a leaky tank and poor clutch amongst other things.  Maybe late spring of summer  I can re-learn to ride.

Good luck with the tank and clutch, it shouldn't be too hard to fix.  Let me know when you fix them and we'll go for a ride!

The New York City ride we're planning is actually in Orange County, NY, near Harriman State Park about an hour north of NYC. For those willing to trek from Massachussetts, I-84 cuts through Orange County.

Also, I plan to spend considerable time in Providence, RI this summer, so I'll check on this group again come July - September to meet for a group ride. Do keep in mind that I'm a brand spankin newbie.

Would love to but won't be up there this weekend. Any of the providence folks want to go for a ride later in the fall? I'll be there for 4 weeks in November. I don't know my way around!

I'll be in Providence for the fall, starting September 2009. My bike is deep in storage and in need of new tires and a tune up, but mid-September it should be ready to go. I'd love to see your moto in person--it looks amazing!
