whats weird is when a white guy, makes a racial sounding comment, all hell ( and al sharpton) are on his ass like a hemorrhoid. but if a black man makes a racial sounding comment, no hell ( or al sharpton) seems to be anywhere nearby. but imho we are all humans, regardless of what color we are, or who we f**k. or as my bible says, we are al;l created in gods own image, and the funny thing is for some of the ignorant people around my neighborhood, and prolly elsewhere, who hate arabs or middle easterners, and whom are christian, they fail to realise that jesus fit into one of those groups of people they hate. i cannot figure that one out

No way man- Jesus was the only white guy in the middle east in those days, that's why he was the son of God. Get your facts straight.

let's talk about that logically. Jesus could not have been white. He would have stuck out like a sore thumb.  there would have been no way for Him to be able to fade amongst the people and hide when the Pharasees and Saducces where hunting for him all the time. i think he would have looked like anyone else from that time period and region. just my opinion of course.

EXACTLY. So if Jesus was an Arab, and the son of God or a great man, then what does it matter what color he was or what class system he came from. Was he killed by the white Romans because he was a "darkie" claiming to be the son of God? Was he killed because the Romans did not like the idea of God's son being from a lower class system? Maybe.
Think about that next time you throw out a racial slur to anyone- white, black, asian, latino, etc. Good people come from all colors and class systems, so why automatically marginalize them based on that?

it is historical evidence that shows the story was taken from earlier religions and written into the new testiment by a pope.   believe me i wish he were a real person and i hope it is true

i agree with you Casi...odd.  now, i'm not gonna say i'm perfect. i'm not gonna say i've never used a racial slur. but what i can say is i try my best to treat everyone equal. but i draw the line at being anyones doormat.

errm, that seems although to have some plausible points in it, sees to be an athiests term paper.. that aside  it does raise some interesting points. i dont consider it proof however, the inaccuracies cound be attributed to "book keeping errors" but im secure in my beliefs 

There's still racism in America. Just think about it, right now, would you rather be a white guy (as I suspect most of the people replying to this thread are), or would you be a black guy, or even a mexican. If you wouldnt mind being a black or mexican guy, then that's great for you, but i'm certain that whatever you're leading yourself to believe, you don't want to be black or mexican, or some other minority. The reason for that is that you dont want to deal with the underlying racism that you're in denial of.

or you could look at it this way. white men, have a hard time of it. ( ill explain) hard to play teh race or sexism card. granted racism is rampant and needs to be done away with

Well, I also like religions that make it clear that most of the "god and related" stories are all epic tales (hinduism). Or religions that just follow one person who was very obviously human (buddhism, jainism etc ). Or religions that just worship the dead (shin-do-Japan) though moving the dead people is IMHO a bit creepy.
This whole man and god and son of god, but man, but more than man, and what not is sorta like, make up your mind ...
Of course I have pissed of many a christian who wanted to take me to their church by telling them yea, I'll come, you go to this one right around the corner right ... no ... why If I were you, I'd go to this one on a daily basis, and got to your special church only 1-2 times a year. Why dont you go here, its 2 mins by walk ... that is just confusing to me.
I dunno, I just suggest christians or any other religion, or heck even the atheists let their behaviour speak for their faith instead of their mouths.

Let's call it the "blue dog theory". Let me see if can explain it.

Let's suppose that you lived in a "Leave it to Beaver" neighborhood OR a "Prince of Belair" or "Mayberry". Let's say that you moved OR didn't move and really have no reference points as to "blue dogs".

One day you chanced across a Royal Blue Dog. Damn! How unusual. You'd never really "been around one". It got close, it bit you.
What an experience. Let's say two weeks or two months or two years go by and you're in an entirely different area and chance across a blue dog.
Guess what.............THAT ONE bites you. I can guarandamntee you this my friend. Unless you are one stupid sonofabitch, the NEXT "blue dog" that you come across, you WILL BE "on guard". You'd be a fool to be anything otherwise.

But.......what if the television and the movies and the radio and the music and the schoolbooks told you that "blue dogs are "just like" all the other dogs. They all have feelings and have blood in them just like all dogs, they are just misunderstood and moreso, it is just fine and even promoted and praised for YOUR dogs to interbreed with them".  You HAVE to ask yourself the question, "do "these people" really know what the hell they are talking about?" Now........we have a LOT of "blue dogs". It is true that "all" blue dogs are not viscious.........but a huge vast amount are. What the deal is .....is that "the people" praising and promoting "blue dogs" don't have to live around them and "be" around them. "They" have the luxury of having "good" blue dogs around them all the time and use them as shining examples for all to see.

A World Almanac will tell you a lot about "blue dogs" (figuratively speaking). American Liberals will not like this. There is obviously a great deal of difference in the definition of the word "liberal" between the USA and Great Britian. In the United States it means so politically correct that it will make one puke that has a shred of testicles left.
