My first (and only) speeding ticket was on Thanksgiving day. I was clocked by an airplane. AN AIRPLANE! And I wonder how much it costs taxpayers for jet fuel and a liscenced pilot to fly around all day.

Ya, I lucked out. Thank god for NOLA's messed up government. FYI I DON'T NORMALLY SPEED  THROUGH SCHOOL ZONES, I'M AN ATTENTIVE DRIVER!!!

No Jet fuel, they usually use cessna's, and those cessna's more than pay for themselves with the tickets they 'write'.

FYI usually school zones are close to residential areas.

I was clocked doing 39 in what I thought was a 35 zone. I am not a hypocrite and if anyone else wants to criticize me then send me an IM because I've got more then a few choice words for you that I won't post on this board.

Its not speeding after hours,  because the school zone in not in effect. I accidentally sped through a school zone that has no school and I kid you not it is 3-4 car lengths long.  My normal routine was upside down and a duck of a cop had a trap set up and wrote me a ticket which all the charges were dropped. End of story.

The fact the you were speeding in a school zone because you were not paying attention to where you were at and the time of day etc... and all your other excuses really does say one thing. What it says is you obviously were not paying full attention to your driving. You can making excuses for why all day long but that is the logical conclusion.

Damn, your good. End of story. Let it go.

I am a parent actually. Also worked as an EMT. The number of "accidents" that occur because people are not vigilant is quite staggering.

Lost a few friends to inattentive drivers in the past. No drinking no drugs not even seriously violating any traffic laws but someone else's laissez faire attitude towards driving cost me a couple of good friends in 1 "accident". 

Of course one of these day's I'll probably be just another statisitic on 2 wheels it won't be because I was daydreaming or not paying attention. Almost lost a fellow rider because of a lapse in his attention last year.

MMMMMMMM love me some court of 2 sisters po boy's. Can't remember what else I had there, most of my new orleans vacations are like that . I can usaully remeber the first meal of the day usually lunch then after that everything gets hazy. Oh yeah there was a little place on St. Ann and burgundy the Quarter Scene had a great shrimp creole and while down by the river the Crescent city brew house has good food and a great bavarian black forest beer , also the lunch counter at central grocery on decatuer is the place to go for a Muffuletta. Screw brennans they snobbed up when my wife and I wanted to go just for desert and have bannana's foster you want a great fine dining experience hit Tony Moran's right next to the absinthe house bar on bourbon. Breakfast you say well head just a little past St. Ann and hit the clover grill, great burgers there too. Too poor from all the partying then grab yourself a lucky dog perhaps the french quarters most perfect food you can live on them for a week. No night is complete without a trip to the cafe du'monde for some good ole chickory coffee and beneigts before turning in around 4am.

Damn now you got me missing NOLA again, american GP races in Indy or another trip to NOLA thise are my choices this year.
