I already cut them as far as I want to. Its pretty much at full articulation pressed against the fenderwell now.

I'm getting the wheely king for my birthday in two weeks. From what I've been reading it's a great platform to build a crawler from and not expensive at all. I'll post pics as I start my build---any more vids?

I got the range rover pretty much finished this weekend and took it out. I shot some video which I will post up late tonight...

The WK isnt a great scale platform but you can make it work. The biggest problem is the axle width. There's a thread on scale4x4.com where someone shows how to narrow them to work for scale. its probably the cheapest way in. The next best is the Axial AX-10 but thats more money (and you have to get the scale chassis extra) and even those axles are a bit wide for scale. Mine are from a TLT-1 kit by Tamiya. The wheel offset makes it less scale looking...

I wanted to start with something simple that I could use as a basher and then upgrade to a crawler. If I really catch the scale bug, I'll probably get a Tamiya Toyota Hilux

Got the Wheely King a week early. There was no hiding the box. So far it's a fun little basher. I can't wait till HPI comes out with their crawler conversion kit. The battery in the back is a bit of a pain, but when I convert it I'm going to switch the chasis around so it puts the weight up front. I think it'll make a good first crawler/basher project.

I got new beadlock wheels for the gwagon and have started a complete rebuild of it already. New chassis rails (different shock mounting), going to chop the roof and make a canvas soft top, repaint, some tube work (rock sliders, bumpers, etc)...

finally got some work done on the gwagon overhaul. canvas top done. I mocked it up on the body and liked it so much I left it. tempermanent attachment for now. Paint done but some touch ups. Can't decide if I want to paint the fenders black. Originally I did but now not so sure. Modified the old front bumper for now until I get the steel ones (front and back). Got inverted/hidden body mounts done. More detailed stuff coming...

Mostly there. Its a bit hack but I'm satisfied with it.

I am more impressed with the bold wall color decision in your room

We have a similiar orange shade in our bedroom it's called burled redwood.

haha, yeah, its pretty bold. Took me months to commit to it after painting a swatch on the wall, lol.

The floor is chocolate brown cork (can't see it) and the area rug also has lots of great colors (you can just make it out in the lower left of the pics. Wall cabinet beyond is rift cut (straight grain) white oak.

What you dont see is an alcove to the left that has tree stencil wallpaper...feels like a forest without being pictorial. Quite nice.
