Well, my bike as it started a year ago:

Then the paint began and things began to be cut off:

Then wrong parts came:

rejet, repiped,

Dear god how does it all go together again:

Shaved the signals, drag bars, bar end mirrors, new front signals, fenderectomy,

And for now its complete.  The only other things I really want to do are a Katana shock, buell lights, and progressive springs in the front.  These should cost a couple hundred bucks or so and I'll be all set.  For now I need to wear these tires out.  Thanks for all the help with the newbie questions and being a great board to post up and chat with.  :kiss3:

Sorry for not getting back, I've been gone for a few days.   ScottPa, I got the wheels prepped by using talcraft aluminum stripper, and painted using a bronze wheel specific paint.  I sanded those mothers for 2 days.  It was probably the hardest part of the whole project.  As for the bra, I don't know if I even like it or not, but threw it back on for the pics.  I don't think you can get them anymore.  Mine came with that, and the headlight fairing that I painted black also, but it doesn't seem to flow with what I've got now.  As for srinath, sorry it doesn't have any wild bodywork, re-routed undertail exhaust, or crazy gsxr front end, but it was meant to be a commuter to have fun with on the weekends, not a track bike.      I did just about all that I could and what I didn't, I'm going to this summer.  Repaint, rejet, 14t front, brand new 39t rear, new chain, new pads, lunchbox, rejet, new grips, new bars, new mirrors, "fenderectomy", "reflectorectomy", sport demons, front and rear signals, and thats about it for now.  It was fun and thanks for all the positive feedback!

I just wipe it down every few rides before I go out.  I have never really tried to take care of the thing it just seems to stay clean.  I did clean it with wd-40 once, so maybe thats helping, maybe not???

Sorry guys, I love it so sorry to rain on anyone's parade.  I get way way way more compliments this way than I did before.  It doesn't look like someone walked up and krylon coated it or anything.

Nice looking bike  :thumb: the tank bras kinda takes away from the aesthetics but then again my tank is starting to get all scratched up on the sides

No, its a satin black engine high temp engine enamel that was petroleum product resistant so it doesn't streak gas all over it when you spill.  So far it works really well.  I've spilled a number of times now with no bad issues with the paint.  It also has a high temp clear coat that is also petroleum product resistent.  I like the color quite a bit.
