Judge

my name is Judge, 33 living in San Francisco

started riding on a Tomos APN6 (49cc 2 stroke) while growing up in Bosnia, spent time fixing it along side Tomos 4 (outboard boat engine - lots of common parts) so getting into things never a problem

last couple of years rode and worked on 1992 Suzuki VX800 mainly between Petaluma - SF - San Jose

currently in physical therapy for dislocated left shoulder, and just bought a RED 1992 GS500 which was in an accident as well and spent last year or so collecting dust.  I am trying to get as much done on her before she goes to Dave's shop for little extra love that I can't give myself, things like new front tire and alignment (private garage in SF is a luxury item)

cheers

new to the board, and 1st post.

Whassup!   We live north of Raleigh, NC.  My wife completed her Basic Mot. Safety Course late last year, and we just bought her 1st bike - an '04 GS500F, still very new.  We enjoy seeing chicks on bikes, and I'm all for helping to add yet another hottie on wheels...hehehe.  Tomorrow will be her first real day out and about on it and she's psyched.

I'm 41, have completed both Basic and Advanced Safety courses, am a soldier by heart and still serve proudly, have travelled europe and the world afar and back, have deployed on 3 field trips courtesy of Uncle Sam to go try and smack some sense  :2guns:  into "Hadjii" over there, and will soon embark on my 4th.  I've ridden cruisers and a Katana (if you can call that a real 'sport bike'.  That particular "Kat" was a serious skid mark in my shorts that I'm glad to be rid of.).  We are both avid health nuts, have two awesome kids, in-laws we love, and enjoy the whooosh of air as we scoot on two wheels.  Since you help pay my salary I guess I could take this opportunity to thank you now, well in advance, for buying my next bike when I return from the next deployment_a Triumph Sprint ST 1050cc with ABS.  And I'm adding a side car to it as well.  "Suhweeeeet"

Brand Spankin' new to the forum, and I figured I would introduce myself to you all.

Hey guys (and gals)!  I'm a 28 year old male from North Mississippi (30 minutes south of Memphis).  Just bought my first motorcycle, a 2002 GS 500 for $800.00 and am trying to get it back into good shape.  It sat outside, uncovered for over a year before I purchased it.  I know absolutely nothing about motorcycles at all, so the learning curve has been very steep thus far.  It seems like I have read almost every post in this forum in the last week or so!  This will be the first bike I have ever really ridden and I'm pretty nervous.  I'm sure I will have plenty of questions for you all (I actually already do!)so please be patient with me.  No owners manual with the bike, so everything I know about it, I have learned here or just by fooling around with it in the yard.  I know I'm already ahead of some of you as in I just read the post about the helmet lock for this bike!!  http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=15015.0   Simple things are like that sometimes though.  Anyway, I'm married to a beautiful woman who absolutely hates the fact that I bought a motorcycle, and we have two children, one boy (9), one girl (3).  I plan on spending quite a bit of time in the forums and getting to know you guys.  If you get tired of me posting questions and throwing my .02 in, please tell me!

Hey everybody, my name is Lucas, I'm almost 20 (in April) and I bought an '04 gs500f as my first bike last October.  I immediately became addicted!  I'm from the Washington, D.C. area and go to school out in a rural area, so lots of great places to ride!  Already I've found a wealth of information here!  Hope to stick around for awhile!

I'm a computer programmer for a big evil insurance company.... mwahahahahhahaha

I picked up a pretty beat up 94 GS500e and a 92 Katana 600 dirt cheap.  The katana wasn't running (it had sat for 4-5 years) and the 500 ran very rough.  The Katana now runs but in my laziness I still need to put new tires on it, it's missing the front and rear brake cylinders, and needs a tank treatment (inside rusted).  The 500 is a work in progress.  You can read about it here: http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=40230.0

Edit:  btw... happily married for the next 80 years  ;P
Edit: I'm 27 now!  :icon_razz: And I put a little about my bike.

I'm Rodney and I'm 24 years old living in Nashville, TN. I picked up a 2001 GS500E a few months back and with the help of several members on this board selling me some key parts I will have it road worthy tomorrow. I'll post some pictures once its back together tonight.

This is my first street bike and will be my "learner" for at least the next year. Then more than likely will become my commuter bike, but thats putting the cart in front of the horse a bit.
