Hey everyone,
My friend recently purchased a "EXL" jacket off of motodirect.com for ridiculously cheap. It seems to be good quality and good ventilation especially for the summer. I was just about to buy myself one when I realized, there are no other places that sell this jacket. I've looked online for anytype of reviews on this jacket but got nadda. It says its CE approved but i have no idea about how to confirm that. Here's the link http://www.motodirect.com/servlet/Detail?no=157
My question for you is: should I buy this jacket? Thanks a lot in advance.

Don't know about that one personally, but I would recommend getting a Joe Rocket jacket off of www.motorcycle-superstore.com  ..  mine is holding up real nice and it's a little more than $100.

even though alot of unknown corps are selling what seems like quality product, the issue why I have been staying with "bran names" sis that if a zipper breaks, a stitch pulls, I simply return it to them and they fix it for free 99% of the time.

Beside Fieldsheer, Joe Rocket, Icon and many other make plenty of great quality low cost products.
hint : get last years model for cheap prices.

cheers

PS: I would reccommend Iron Pony,  http://www.ironpony.com/ over previously mentioned web site for prices, much much saving in their closeout section.

ironpony.com is a ridiculously good site. I got a Joe Rocket Nova jacket for $69.99 and a nice lock for just 12 bucks. Their sizing is limited for certain closeout items but if you look hard enough your sure to find something nice. My Joe Rocket jacket would have retailed for 159.99 plus, and it came with all the spine and shoulder padding. I called to ask for upgraded shipping and they basically told me i didn't need it. Other places would have just gave it to me to get me to shut up and hang up. Thanks alot guys for the input.

Check Ebay too. There is nothing wrong with a gentley used jacket especially leather. I got a 400 dollar Joe Rocket leather jacket for 80 on ebay and my girlfriends Icon that retails  for 220 for 140 brand new with tags and even the icon hanger. So check Ebay.

Same here...Joe Rocket armored mesh jacket off Ebay 40.00.Retails 150.00....Like brand new!
