Well I found this while looking for some  turn signals on ebay, cheap enough and intriuguing enough I decided to order one and Ill write an install pro/cons of it with pictures and get a 2-up rider to test drive it for us all and give impressions with and without it on.

As per web site, it is suppose to prevent 2-up rider from "sliping forward" thus preventing head bumping and such amusing, though, annoying events while riding....

Here is a picture of it installed on another model of suzuki (they dont have one on a GS500)
they have for pre and post 2001 models seats it seems

well that is the idea behind the message;

1) see anyone used/tried it before me
2) report on instalation/quality for others to consider
3) report from 2-up riders, the quality of the product as to claims/usefullness.

Hey, I aint carrying no passenger on the poor ol GS. The virago 1100, the maxim X, the eliminator, the maxim 1100, the nighthawk S etc etc are for that. The 2 GS'es and sausage can stay as solo bikes.

I've never had that, but under braking my piliion tends to slide forward, applying most unwelcome pressure between the tank and my "delicates".

I'd definitely be interested if it proves effective - I had looked for better seats, to no avail.

Humm... not sure what you mean by pilion.... your seat moved forward ? or are you refering to your arse sliding forward ?

the first shipment got lost in the mail, they mailed me another one at no cost, I havent been at work the last three days so I dont know if at arrived yet,m but I will let you know as soon as it does...

Just did 841 Miles in the last there days.... Dallas, Rockport, Houston, Dallas...Man that was fun!

the wife says our gs is really comfy back there. her only complaint, and mine, was that she slides forward under harder braking. she doesn't like the grab bar, thinks she'll fall off or something.

try sitting way back there sometime, the operator has a crappy perch compared to the comfy pillion !

update,

seems that they have experiences "Post office issues", as in it never got delivered TWICE !!
but they are sending another one to me (3rd time is the charm they say..?)

I'll keep you all posted IF I ever receive the package.
