so, i may be headed down there for a day or so at the end of the month. the father in law managed to win some tickets to the Coca-Cola 600. i've never been to a NASCAR race and him and the mother in law will allready be there. they go every year. so they said my wife and i could have the tickets. we just have to pay for gas n food to go. i'm looking forward to it. hopefully the checkbook agrees with me.    we plan to leave early saturday morning, hang out and check out charlotte a bit i guess saturday evening and go to the race on sunday. then probably get in the car and come home after the race. i can't afford to miss work monday. 

Sounds like a great time. I went to my first race last year at Bristol. I was never a huge fan of nascar, but it was awesome. I had so much fun. Take some pics if you can.

meh, im not a nascrap fan, but would go to a race, if anyting, for teh atmosphere, im not saying anyone who is a nascar fan is anything negative btw

so we decided we are definetly going. we will get up and leave early saturday morning. mapquest says it will take me 9hrs to get to Concord.    we figure we'll hang out and check out stuff around there on saturday night and then go to the race on sunday night. then leave to come home on monday morning. 

if you're not careful, it might be a blast !

hey, they turn right on occassion. they've got road courses. 

so, we had a really great f%$king time. so great, it actually sucks to be back home.  drank some beer,  watched some racing. man, it was a blast. we get home, and the wife says, baby, we should just move to north carolina.  hmmm...now there's a thought. the weather was absolutely f%$king great when we were there. ahhh...it was really, really cool. took a track tour on monday. they take ya round the track( in a van but still, it was neat). got to ride around in the van all around the whole infield area. tour lady even got out and picked us up some lug nuts.  we even got to get our pictures taken in victory lane and got some of the confetti off the ground. i know, childish right?  the wife was stoked, she's a Kasey Kahne fan and just so happens he won the 600 on sunday night. good race, great time. ah, bummer, back to the workin life again.

My sister just went to the Indianapolis 500, I was so jealous. Said it was amazing, they hit top speeds of around 230 mph.

Sears Point, there may be another one. At least that's what I remember from my nascar '98 game for N64.
