I've found this tripple with key and matching gas cap on eBay, and I'm thinking about purchasing as mine is older, faded, and damaged.  I will be putting this into a 90 GS, and I'm curious as to if this will fit directly, or if there is some reason no one else has put in a bid yet?

These will work on any year of GS. However the seat latch was not included in this auction, so you will have to have its key on you at all times. But these should swap out for yours. I'd actually swap the whole top triple out. Or you could get the lock mechanism drilled out, then replace them with bolts and then swap it.

Well the seat portion I'm not worried about as I plan on adding the Buell X1 subframe.  What do you mean by the whole top triple vs. drilling out the lock mechanism?  Can you clearify that for me?
