just to be clear ith is what i need to replace my turn signal bulbs right? 74-x Wedge Base LED bulb from http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/commerce.cgi?product=CAR&keywords=&cart_id=3579801.30382&next=50 they are listed about halfway down the page

turn signal bulbs not sure but those are the bulbs used for the idiot lights minus the turn signal one ( will only work for either turning right or left depending on how you put it in )

Are you trying to replace the lamps in the blinker lights or the indicator lamp below the gauges?

If changing the blinker lamps, you probably will have to modify the turn signal circuit to make them work properly.

i was trying to change the blinkers over to LEDs and by idiot lights/indicators yall are refering to the neutral, oil and high beam lights correct? so is there no plug and play led replacements or would i need to add a resisor to make it work/ is  there a how to on doing that?

Yes. Indicators=Idiot lights.

There are no plug and play replacement LEDs for the turn signals without modifications.

The brake lights are plug and play. The brake light circuit is totally simple and uses no "electrickery" to make them operate. It is a simple battery, switch, bulb, ground type circuit. Elementary/Primary school Science fair stuff.

The turn signal circuit is quite tricky and various people claim various levels of success and/or failure at getting it to operate with LEDs.

Frankly I don't think it is worth the effort and cost as compared to the normal turn lamps. I am considering a new FAQ on turn signals but there is a collection FAQ on this subject in that area of the board. It is outdated because there must have been 20 more new posts about this since it was compiled.

This subject is certainly popular.
