So I was in the garage and tried to squeeze between my workbench and my bike. Without even thinking I used my ass to slowly push the bike forward from the rear ...yep...you guessed it, the next sound I heard was the kick stand going up followed by my bike going down.

Hit a smaller workbench on the way down and snapped off both mirrors and scuffed the windscreen.  Worst part is I only have myself to blame...

Came CLOSE to doing that myself one day.  Not the only one who's tried to "just push it".
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

i did that..then realized what i was doing then turned and grabbed her real quick.  I got lucky.  Ive done worse.  And it is a shitty feelign when you can only blame yourself.  I cant stand beign mad(makes me madder), and i hate it when some one is mad at me, so I try not to get down on myself. Its like double the emotional bullshit.  lol. Its not like you can yell and punch and destroy yourself...well you can, but everyone would think your crazy.

Reminds me of a lesson that I learned as a novice rider about always parking your bike in gear.  If the bike is facing down hill and in neutral it can very easily roll itself off the sidestand.  Mine did it as I was lifting my leg over the seat and I was very lucky to catch it in time.

Again, if your bike was in gear this would have been avoided.

Yeah I learned my lesson. I've got mirrors on order, and used this as an excuse to my wife why I need the Zero Gravity windscreen.

I hear parking nose down hill doesn't work either!   :icon_mrgreen:
Well, either you're part of the problem, part of the solution,...

I did almost exactly the same thing the other day. Got off my bike and went to turn the lights to the garage on, now.. I didn't notice that I had dropped the kick-stand in a pot-hole in my garage (it's actually an old barn with a beat-up concrete floor).  SO when I went over to my lights to flick them on I heard SKADOOSH in the background. Low and behold the kick stand gave out on the soft ground and low-sided. Snapped my clutch lever in half and scarred up my LH mirror. I was pissed.

Oh well!
