"My" GS is actually my daughter's; her first bike -- I just get to maintain it and take "test" rides  ;-)

She had about 1,000 miles total under her ars so far so I proposed a longer day trip to see he fall colors at higher elevations.  We left home at about 11:00AM and returned at about 7:00PM with several stops to stretch and rubber neck.  Almost all the way on West Virginia back roads and super twisties in the mountains with great color and super weather.  Got a bit over 400 miles covered without backtracking.  Great trip and all, but she was tired and walk'n somewhere like between John Wayne and Chester Goode.  I was on a GL1800 Goldwing, so its about the same as sitting at home on the couch watch'n footsball for me.  Harrrrrrr.  I have an extra Goldwing saddle (the OE one), I think I will rig-it-up on the GS500 just as a spoof for her -- might have to post a pic of that!

Yes straight fit. You just need a trailer on the GS500 ... to carry that saddle. Matter of fact, might be easier to carry a couch on the GS.
Cool.
