Why didn't you powdercoat the spring too ? I have 3 that is going for this same operation.
Also 1/2 moons in the same color as spring - I am trying that. Lets see.
Cool.

Do you want to trade me for a gxsr shock with res? It was modified by dygver and is a direct bolt on. I just don;t ride the bike long or hard enough to take advantage of it anymore.

The original plan was the rattle can everything. Regular rattle can for the "bits" and body; Plasti-Dip for the springs.

Then I found a powdercoat guy who would let me join in on his larger jobs. He sandblasted all the bits, but didn't didn't want to deal with sanding the Plasti-Dip. And I didn't want to paint the body because it was in such good shape.

I think it looks pretty good, but it doesn't match my bike like the one I'm keeping (black & yellow). There's also that little problem of only having one rear shock on the bike at a time...  :laugh:

===========================

Seamax: Thanks for the offer, but I already have a Kat 600 shock on my bike and it's perfect for me and my riding style...which sounds like it might be your riding style, too.  :cheers:

I still got 'em!! I promise!  :bowdown:

As soon as I get my bike back (it's with my mechanic), I'll switch out the tall ones and see how the shorties do. The buddha bars you gave me didn't have the "grind slots" lined up right for the euro bars and I may have stripped the bolts going in.  :cry:  We'll see.  An angle grinder is one tool I don't have.

I like the euro height but the conflict with my mirrors isn't cool. Let me try to work out a solution. And let me know if it ever becomes urgent to get them back to you. Thanks!  :thumb:

The Buddha

What ... you're supposed to just put them in and check sitting on it ... not put bolts in. The shorties will take 1 bolt ... long ones wont even take 1. You are supposed to sit and pose with it and decide. I forget what I sent you for bars ... but put only 1 ... then yea just 1 bolt ... ride it, if its bad, swap it for the other ... if not, take it out and grind the slot. Dremel tool will be fine for it as is a round file and vice ... heck square file is fine too. Bench grinder too ...
Cool.
