Names Ryan, im 23yrs old, originally from Mandeville, LA (near New Orleans for those who are curious), but im currently living in College Station, TX.

Ive owned my 06 GS500f since Oct 06, love the bike, but im about to get a gixxer6, debating on keeping my GS for kicks.

Ive seen a LOT of GS500f's here in town, if anyone is on here, im on a blue/white with smoked tail w/ integrated signals and flushmount fronts, only thing i can think of that sets mine apart from the rest ive seen.

Hi all! Cindy here...37, south east Florida. Bought my '05 GS500F the end of August '08. And I love it!! Currently working on a "semper fi theme" in honor of my daughter who is in basic training right now. Would love to find an undertail kit for it, but haven't run across anything....does anyone know of anything interchangeable? If not, then I'll just ride her til I get my ZX6R next year. Thanks

Hi

I'm Jason.  I have put 200 miles on my new to me 2001 GS500e.  I am a marine biologist from Santa Rosa, CA.  I enjoy heavy drinking, hogging the remote, and long walks on the beach.  I have trouble controlling the urge to jab ice picks into the eyes of those who type "lol" at the end of paragraphs.

I am a huge nerd and pee my pants at the first sign of danger.  I have worn full leathers each time I have left the house for the last 26 months, and thought it was time to get a bike.  I have yet to go faster than 12 mph.  lol.

OUCH!
Keep adding to the carb jet matrix!

Ok..... from what I see from the other replies here...I am old enough to be the father of a little over half of the respondants here.  but here goes anyway......

I will be 50 in the new year I have 4 sons from 23 to 13, my 3rd son will get his permit to ride in April next year and my 2 oldest boys already ride.  This is mainly why I have purchased the '05 gs500.  "Its not for me dear it is for the boys" ...... it seemed to work.  I ride a 1986 Yamaha Venture as my main ride.  The older boys have been riding a 1982 Kawasaki KZ440... it has seen beter times so now they have a like new gs500...if they can pry the key out of my hands.

I am a plumber with the local school districts..... yes you remember all the crap you did to that school wash room....I gotta fix it.  Been married to my wife longer than most of you have been alive... coming up on 30 yrs.... she bought me my first bike when we were dating.  I have loved her and bikes ever since.  Ya you try and find a girl friend that buys you a bike .... if you do, marry her damn it!

Welcome Kevin!  My wife teaches JK and so she thanks you for undoing what all the kiddies do to the crappers.  Well, you're not quite old enough to be my dad, so don't feel bad. I've been riding my '91 GS for a good part of the time you've been married to your wife.   How did you convince her to buy you a bike?  I'd like to try that on my wife.  Or maybe since I've married her it's already too late.

Well,  Enjoy. Welcome, and ride safely.

22 yr old    from Newfoundland Canada.

Bought my GS500f as a first bike, new in 04.  Was goign to buy a car but decided to save on the insurance cost.

since then i  have removed (and sold) all fairing, and attached a scrap headlight/bracket to match the 500E.
Over this comming winter ill be switching out new sprokets, handle bars, and engine guard.......maybe even some 12oclocks', considering im going 49 in the rear!
if i can get teh resources, ill be painting the entire bike,, but as of now its just wishfull thinking

I tried the Kawasaki 636 in hawaii last winter, and put around 800km down, but found it really uncomfortable on the hr plus rides....since then I have found a new appreciation for my lil vtwin!
